Home On The Range Site Is Up!
I just looked at the site and I love it the movie looks great. I really think that it is going to be a really fun movie. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

Oh, if you're counting non-Disney theatrical animation, we do get one 2D feature next year (from Universal.) Curious George!starlioness wrote:and of course the last 2D film for a while. though I don't know at this point if Don Bluth's Dragon's Lair is still set for release sometime ( but that's not Disney oh well,)

I can't believe I am only just looking at this now!
This will keep me occupied for hours you realise? (And thus, keeping me off the board and out of trouble).
Very cool - thanks, Danny!

I love that the question I was thinking of (which ones have been rated PG before) was answered as soon I logged on. And yes, I'm very excited about this movie and love the music so far. Reminiscent of the Frontierland music in WDW.

Home on the Range seems like it is going to be a big flop. Whatever happened to the Cinderella, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, type of stories? Those ones, when well done, have always been Disney's best. They have had adventure, comedy, and romance. They are the definition of Disney magic. It looks like Home on the Range is a combination of Shrek and Finding Nemo done with drawings. I don't think it is going to be any good whatsoever.

Shrek and Finding Nemo with drawings??? explain please.... especially since HOTR has been through a troubled production since 1995 (when those two werent even in the picture yet)... I think this is more Chuck Jones meets ENG meets Mary Poppins... love the look..slash wrote:Home on the Range seems like it is going to be a big flop. Not so sure about this part, but I'm not really making any judgements, pro or con, until I see it. All I'll say for now is that I do want to see it.It looks like Home on the Range is a combination of Shrek and Finding Nemo done with drawings. I don't think it is going to be any good whatsoever.
I do, however, hope for a 2-D musical animated classic again!

I've loved all of Alan Menken's previous scores... Little Shop of Horrors, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Newsies, etc. Such memorable music!
So why aren't the song samples for Home On The Range making any impression on me?
It's strange. Maybe it's because I'm not into country music...
As for the movie itself... I've watched the trailer repeatedly, hoping the concept and jokes would grow on me, but it leaves me bored every time. I *want* to get excited about this movie...but I can't.
And "Home On The Range" is SUCH a boring title.
Why not... "Til The Cows Come Home" ...
... or "They Bought (Back) The Farm" ....
... or "MOOvin' Out!"

Eeek! I didn't mean to include the "big flop" sentence. I don't necessarily agree with that! Sorry for the goof-up.awallaceunc wrote:I completely agree.slash wrote:Home on the Range seems like it is going to be a big flop.
