Nancy Drew (2007) dvd release?
This Emma Roberts movie was not a major hit but I liked it. It was a June release and should be out on dvd by now yet hasn't even been announced. Anyone else like it & want to see its dvd release?

I've been wondering the same thing, myself. I thought it would've been a shoe-in for an October release, and am shocked it seems to have been put off till at least January. Even though the movie had some problems and didn't know whether it was a Nancy Drew parody or a sincere film, I still liked it. I guess WB wants the film to sell well without any competition considering how poorly it did in theaters.

It did do poorly in theaters. I saw it the Saturday night 10pm showing of its opening weekend. I was the only person in the theater (never had that happen before). Of course the people it was aimed at are much younger than me and suredly watched earlier viewings. But, having read all the Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew books as a young kid I still had to see it. When they get around to putting it out I'll definitely buy it.

Ive had that happen to me.... The Most recent one was Ella Enchanted... I was the only person in the theater.... Of course the local theater was previously an antique shop on the downtown square and they turned it into a 3 screen theater meaning only 3 movies could be shown at a time.... That's when you know you live in the middle of Hicksville USA when your current movie theater use to be an antique mallbuffalobill wrote: I was the only person in the theater (never had that happen before).

I've been the only person in the theater before, but I forget for what.
Anyway, I've been wondering about this one myself. I am not an Emma Roberts fan, but the movie looked really cute and even she looked enjoyable in it, and I've really wanted to see it since I found out Rachael Leigh Cook is in it. However, I opted to wait for DVD and eventually buy it. Theaters are just too expensive nowadays, especially with the other unruly patrons.

Here are the running times of the features, courtesy of the BBFC:
Nancy Drew: Kids at Work (9:00)
Our iPod Ideology (2:52)
Nancy Drew’s Detective Kit (1:40)
Behind the Scene (1:27)
Day on the Set (1:59)
Emma’s Last Day (1:30)
Gag Reel (1:47)
Wow, not even half an hour's worth of features, and 3/4 of those are actually available for viewing on the film's official website. Pretty disappointing.
