Hi, everybody I’m back for a little while until I have to go back to school again. I know I haven’t been on much due to the fact that I’ve been really busy at school. I have a year and a half before I graduate where I’ll become busier as the rest of my college career progresses. I’m pretty excited about that because after I graduate I can finally move on with my life by first moving out of my parents house, quitting Sam’s Club and more importantly have an awesome career. I’m really looking forward to doing all of that it’s going to be freaking smurf! My friend and I were planning on becoming race car drivers in the Legends series; that will be cool too. I’ve been in school for 17 years so I’ll be very glad to be done.
So what have I been up to lately? Well, of course I’ve been going to school and going to work which is the basic routine of my life so far. Currently I’m enrolled in the following courses: Organic Chemistry II + the lab, Immunology, General Physics + lab, and Microbiology Laboratory Undergraduate Teacher Assistant. Being a UTA is pretty nice, there’s much work involved because I have to grade about 40 lab reports every week or so. It’s not a paid position instead I receive 3 credits towards my Microbiology major elective which is nice because it brings me closer to graduating.
Starting late October I went deer hunting (I know that doesn’t make sense because I’m a Bambi fan and the deer is my favorite animal) and I got one. I was hunting in this somewhat of a valley which is inhabited by people; there were houses everywhere but I was still hunting in national forest lands. Because there were so many people living there I had to be careful not to shoot someone’s house but that turned out not to be a problem. With so many people living there, the deer were pretty used to humans being around. They were so use to people in fact this one group of does walked onto someone’s yard while they were watering their plants and they would just lay right on their lawn. I thought that was incredible but what was more incredible was how close I approached these animals in the forest. While hunting I was walking up this mountain and I looked to my left and saw this doe with her big ears (she was a mule deer) starring right at me and she couldn’t have been more than 15 yards away. It was really exciting but I wasn’t interested in her I was after the males (bucks). I kept walking up the mountain and I start to become thirsty (I didn’t have my water bottle); I headed back to the truck for a pit stop. Of course when I’m tired and thirsty I finally found what I was looking for and he was hiding underneath a bush about 10 yards maybe less away from me. He jumped up and hid behind this bush poking his head out to receive glimpses of me. Mule deer are very curious creatures if you spook them they’ll run for a few strides then stop and look back at you. Then they’ll stare at you for a good 10 minutes before they loose interest. As this deer was staring at me (his girlfriend was there too; probably the same doe I saw heading up the mountain) he didn’t seem too nervous that I was there; he began to loose interest in me then he started walking up towards the mountain again and I was disappointed because I thought I lost him. Well I didn’t loose him he was just hiding behind another bush then he walked into clear site of me. He had his front pointed at me while the doe was standing to his left. After I adjusted my scope I pointed my rifle at him and at first I didn’t want to take the shoot because I was just amazed how close I was to him. If I knew my dad and my grandpa were going to make a huge fuss about field dressing it I probably defiantly wouldn’t have taken the shoot and save myself the trouble. I already had some venison stew and sloppy joes which were delicious but having a strait up steak was not very good. Which goes to show that it’s better to come up with something creative than have something plain.
A month later which was a couple weeks ago I went back again to go hunting except this time my weapon was a DV camcorder. I thought it was awesome to be so close to the deer that I regretted not having a camera with me while I was hunting. Anyways, this lady who was hiking told me that she hikes up there all the time. I told her that I was trying to shoot some video of deer and what was funny was she said she had never seen a deer up there before. I said “really?!” being discreet about my hunting experience because usually people react negatively towards hunting. I did find deer to film but because it was my first time using that camera my shoots were very shaky.
So who wants to publish the novel I just wrote on my hunting trip? Sorry about that; it’s just that I’ve been gone for a long while and I have very much to talk about. My Thanksgiving went pretty good except my mom destroyed my $300 cell phone by washing it in the washing machine.
For those of you who don’t remember my cat Max died almost a year ago when he was attacked by a couple of dogs. Well for her birthday my mom adopted another cat who she calls Coco. She got the name from the Red Sox baseball player Coco Crisp. The cat is a grey medium hair; I don’t know what her breed is but she is a handful. She knocks over stuff but I don’t care it’s not my cat I let her do whatever but she stays out of my room because I don’t want here messing with my computer cables.
Transformers – best movie ever made!
Live Free or Die Hard – Awesome!
Simpsons Movie – Awesome!
Chuck and Larry – was okay…
Hitman – was alright; I wish they had a better actor to play the part because the Hitman I know from the videogames has a deeper voice.
Borne Ultimatum – was great! But I wish I seen the other two before I saw it.
POTC III – Again not as good as the first but they’re pirates. I was disappointed because I expected to see Black Beard in that movie.
I still haven’t seen Resident Evil III yet and I want to.
For Christmas I’m hoping for:
A full tripod for my video camera so the deer are not dancing around in the forest even though that would be cool to see.
Movie editing software for my computer because that Windows Movie Maker that’s on there now is crap.
DVD’s which include Live Free or Die Hard and The Simpsons Movie.
As far as videogames for my PS3 I would like Assassins Creed, Formula 1, Soldier of Fortune, Time Shift, Jericho, and Metal of Honor. That’s about $360 worth of video games.
I'm Back!!!
