I don't know about that but, I have the VHS of So Dear to My Heart and just finished watching it. It is a wonderful film and shows why Bobby Driscoll was so special.SwordInTheStone777 wrote:Song Of The South and So Dear To My Heart weren't out on VHS in the 90's when I was watching all animated Disney classics.
Oh and DVDjunkie thanks for posting about the SOTS DVD being advertised - as I type this reply, off to my right is a ad box featuring 2 different websites - can you verify that it was songofthesouthdvdremastered.com? I thought these things were total scams and I'd told my mom not to bother trying to buy this for me.
I had seen that posting of Martins & the McCoys a few weeks ago, so it has been up for awhile - hopefully it will stay up.
There is a thread about ordering the Scandinavian uncut version (Region 2) of Make Mine Music, which includes the Martins & the McCoys. The price is about $24 in US dollars. I don't what the shipping costs are. Several people here have ordered it. If you are a Region 1 person, you need to make sure your DVD player is region-free.

Yeah, I don't know about you but when I first saw the Msartins and the Coys I went out and got a gun and started killimg hillbillies. Then I watched Pecos Bill and took up smoking. After that I watched Song of the South and joined the KKK and got me some slaves. Then I watched Dumbo and started up some Jim Crow laws. Yep, it's all a plot to keep the south from rising again.
Stupid. They should just release the films uncensored and uncut for those of us who want to see them. But because the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons aren't mature enough to handle it Disney locks them into the vault forever. They should go talk to Bill Cosby about SOTS. Have you ever heard his whole "There are niggers and there are negros" speech? Cosby has solutions to change black america but all the Sharptons and Jacksons offer are victim mentality and Cosby has shown a light on that so now he's bashed by the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) It's funny they go after people who use the term "colored" and it's in their own group name. Stupid...

It's the very reason why Disney keeps this stuff in the vault. Because there are just enough twisted people out there who will say things like this and people will believe them
