Actually the 60th Anniversary has been out of print or In the Vault since '05 i think. It was one of the first clues we were going to get the Big Top Edition.

I think adding Dumbo would be a great idea, but wouldn't Disney have released a bigger release of it if it were really that important/profitable? I can see Disney catching us off-guard and putting Pocahontas as a PE because it'd be easy to port over the 10th Anniversary Edition and just add a few games and maybe a new feature or two.

Disney just needs to stop skimping on features is all.

Dumbo 60th looks soo much better, than Big Top does. The picture looks much brighter, especially the whole The Pink Elephants On Parade scene.

Pocahontas does deserve a PE, because this was a really nice made fim and that she was a real person, actually a historical figure fits her title more.

This calender doesn't make much sense. The Little Mermaid isn't going back into the vault until 2010. It came out in 2006 so that means it'll be available for 4 years....usually PEs don't last that long. Look at The Jungle Book, it just came out last month and it'll only be available until 2009. And I thought Cinderella was supposed to go back in the Vault back in January along with Lady and the Tramp but I guess they changed their minds. Anyway, I'm psyched for the PE editions of the Fantasia movies(if they really are coming) and also for Pinocchio and the re-release of Snow White. But really, do we need a PE of Alice in Wonderland?? There is already the 2-Disc version out which is basically a PE. I guess they'll add new artwork and a missing song or something.

Alice dosen't have everything it needs for PE. PE's have lots of features, audio commentary/commentaries, a 50-60min Documentary, featurettes, photo gallaries, and Disney's ever missing trailers and tv spots.

Yeah, but the point I'm trying to make is that we already have a 2-Disc version, what more could they dig up to add to a PE?? Well, it is Disney we're dealing with here. They find new stuff everyday. And I'm not saying I wouldn't buy it when it comes out.... :)

Among other things, the bulk of the laserdisc material that wasn't included on the DVD.

I stumbled across a scan of the back of Alice in Wonderland's Archive laserdisc. I always knew Disney left out a ton of features, but holy crap, I had no idea just how much they left off. Everything in red was left off of the DVD, and everything in violet partially made its way to DVD, though not fully.

I'm guessing you can always add more ... it's never quite complete. But in a way I'm guessing it's the limitations of DVDs that make em drop a lot of things. LD was a collector's thingy, dvds can be too, but Disney seems unwilling to release e.g. a standard release for those people who don't care about the tons of extras available and a "complete" version featuring whatever they could find. In the end all they'd have to do is add a few discs filled with material. Maybe it'll happen in the future on HD ? (it's a way to make sure the collector's buy it yet again ... a despicable way, but a way nonetheless)

This is Disney so yeah they will carry over most, if not all the ME special features, as well as whatever was on the golden collection.

It's no wonder if they"ll use it but still, they will add new stuff?.
When will the Platinum Edition be out? i guess it's March 2010 or 2011 (let's see-
2008-101 Dalmations and Sleeping Beauty.
2009-Fantasia and Pinocchio.
2010-Alice in WonderLand and.... what else? they can't release Snow White since Rapunzel is out that year,wait-maybe they'll release Hunchback or Hercules that year? many people wanted it and they can release it like this year's Jungle Book.

2010 makes senses, but 2011 sounds better.

Yeah,i guess,it's the best time for it.
And i have a feeling that Hercules and Hunchback will get a platinum and one of them will be with Alice or both in 2010 (Anyway,Snow White will be in 2011 becouse Razpunel is in 2010) becouse a lot of people wanted it so Disney will make it up for them and they don't have more Platinum Editions (it's too early to release The Lion King).

No,i mean that Rapunzel will be released to theather in 2010 and it's a Disney Princess movie so there won't be a Snow White Platinum Edition in 2010 or 2009.

Ariel's prince that doesn't make sense. Who cares if Rapunzel is released then. That certaintly doesn't mean Snow White can't be released on DVD that same year.

And Hecules and Hunchback will NOT receive Platinum editions.
