Well, at one point we had proposed to have the members here who hated slip covers, donate theirs to the members who needed them, but that never got off the ground. It's nice to have a slip cover, but I won't die if I can't get one. :D

I perfer slipcovers, because in some cases the dvd cover is really bad, and the slipcover is better. With Disney slipcovers, I want them on, just because really. I really liked it when it opened up like a book.

Don't do it. Technically that is stealing, even if its for a piece of cardboard that they could care less about. I think somewhere in this thread (or Disney Customer Service thread) someone had said they asked an employee at (was it K-Mart?) if they could have a slipcover. I think the employee went in the back room and got them one. But I could be wrong.

Here's the thread where one of our members offered slip covers for sale (later offering them for free in the same thread:)

<a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... Slipcovers For Sale" thread</a>

Be sure to read the Disney Customer Service thread which is all about ordering free slip covers from Disney, getting the sticky stuff off your slip covers and their disc replacement program. The thread is about 11 pages but worth reading for all the great information contained there-in. I have ordered free slip covers from Disney and received them, but for awhile there were too many of our forum members calling and asking them for slipcovers, so for awhile they stopped filling the requests. Then they started again. You have to read that customer service thread which is really about that subject. I will tell you this, if you go that route, just order them all at one time - not too many. They keep your name in their system so once you've done it, they know who you are. Read the thread for details.

The customer service thread should answer anyone's question about slipcovers.

Just bought High School Musical 2 today and was surprised to see that it had a slipcover! You can add that to the list :)

What does the slipcover for the Wal-Mart version of Pirates Of The Caribbean with the Lost Disc look like ?
Think about this. Once bread becomes toast, you can't make it back into bread.

I called the phone number listed on the first page to see if I could get a slipcover for my Mary Poppins dvd. One of my friends gave it to me for Christmas. I am a "slipcover addict" and was disappointed mine didn't have one! I've looked everywhere for copy with one ~ I was going to buy one and return the "naked" one  . Anyway, I had to give her the "stack number" listed on the bottom of the spine of my dvd. She said they check the stack number and see if that particular stack ever had slipcovers. If they didn't then they can't send me one :x . While I had her on the phone I also asked for slipcovers for my first two Pirates of the Caribbean dvds (thank you for the slipcover list!) and, again, had to give her the stack numbers for those. She said she forwards my request to the fulfillment dept. and didn't know whether or not I'd get them ~ I'll know in 10 days if they show up in the mail.

I know it isn't Disney, but does anyone know if the orignal third Harry Potter dvd (Prisoner of Azkaban) ever had a slipcover? I noticed not to long ago it is the only one in my set without one.

Keeping my fingers crossed for my Disney slipcovers......

WooHoo ~ my slipcovers came today!! I got all 4 that I requested: Mary Poppins, Bug's Life (I forgot I asked for that one!) and the first two Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

I did notice that the "stack number" on each slipcover is the same as the corresponding dvd.

Now all my Disney dvd's that should have slipcovers, do!

Poor Monster's Inc. looks so naked next to all the rest.....

This might be a dumb question, but when requesting slipcovers via the telephone number the original poster of this topic gave to us in the first post, do you have to pay for them or the shipping?

Hey Jake/Slipcover List Maintainer--any chance you'd consider making your list alphabetical? It would make it so much easier for the majority of us to browse through than chronological order.

After all, the majority of DVD consumers don't know Disney titles by their chronological order of release. Heck, I'd say 75% of the forum members here couldn't ID them that way.

Another option is to offer two lists: one in chronological order and the other in alphabetical. That way the diehards are appeased, and the rest of us have less difficulty scrolling through them.

Thanks s'much.

This list is missing a few.

Can Jake update the list if it's not too big of a hassle?

After Jungle Book, we should have:

-Meet the Robinsons

After Santa Clause 3 we should have:

-Return to Never Land: Pixie Powered Edition

AND after that:

-Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 2 disc Edition
-Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 1 disc Edition

And finally, at the end of the list, we need to add:

-Snow Buddies
-The Artistocats: Special Edition

Just hoping this list can be complete and accurate.

Thanks Jake!
