Sing in the shower?..........If I sang in the shower all the tile would fall off, the drain would plug up, and water would back up into the next city!!! Trust me, you don't want me to sing in the shower, it is that bad!!!!!

I do hum a little bit, but the whole point of a shower is to get in, get clean, and get out and get on with your day. Singing would just distract me. I am not too good at multi-tasking.

I also don't sing in the shower. First, because I only really love to sing to music. Second, I don't like the taste of warm or hot shower water. Third, I sing too loudly and have an incredibly deep voice (I get asked to repeat myself all the time, people often have a hard time understanding me) - so even if I happen to be talking to myself, my roommates can hear me through the walls. And so can other people in neighboring apartments (also - once when I was watching South Park, a neighbor outside my building called me to tell me they could hear me laughing in their house). In fact, on that note - one day my boyfriend (former) and I were mistaken for butch lesbians because my voice carries and I was wearing a Sleater-Kinney t-shirt (because earlier that day, I puked - which I only end up doing once every 4 years on average - on my plain black one, and that was the only shirt my friend had to lend me until the next day, because I have never heard a Sleater-Kinney song in my life). These people figured my voice was so deep and masculine (I think I sound very affeminate, you know how everyone hates the sound of their own voice, but no one else agrees), that I must be a muff-diver. There are days I get a real kick out of stereotypes. But, you can imagine why I try not to sing without musical accompaniment.

I figured that this would be a fun thread to bring back!

I always sing in the shower when Bobby's not home. The 4 non-Disney songs that I sing the most often in the shower are "Goodnight and Goodbye" by the Jonas Brothers, "So Yesterday" by Hilary Duff, "Fly" by Hilary Duff, and "Wake Up" by Hilary Duff. I don't know why, but they're always in my head, I guess.

As for Disney songs, the ones I sing in the shower the most are:
"A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes", "I Won't Say (I'm in Love)", "Why Should I Worry", "Perfect Isn't Easy", "Let Me Be Good To You", "I Wonder", and "Reflection".

Today I sang a few of the above plus "I Wonder", "I Wan'na Be Like You", "Baby Mine", "Oo-De-Lally", "Not in Nottingham", and "You'll Be in My Heart".

Yes, I take long showers.

Thankfully, I have a basement apartment, and the only people who are exposed to my shower singing are my roommates. I'm not a bad singer by any means, I just have a low range, and so my roommates get to hear me experimenting with songs sung in lower keys :)

My song as of late is "Send in the Clowns" by Stephen Sondheim, Theatre Genius.
"Ta ta ta taaaa! Look at me... I'm a snowman! I'm gonna go stand on someone's lawn if I don't get something to do around here pretty soon!"

I forgot to mention Ashlee Simpson's "Autobiography", "Pieces of Me", and "Shadow"- I feel the most comfortable singing her songs, and I forgot to mention them.

Aria of the Queen of the Night from Mozart's "Zauberflöte"

 Just kidding. I wish I did. Normally it's The Girl in 14G or Disney songs, mainly Part of your world because of the water.

Sophia: Why won't you tell me?
Dorothy: Because it's none of your business, Ma.
Sophia: Fine! But you can't keep a secret from Sophia Petrillo! Whatever it is, I'll find it out with a few quick questions.
(Clayton walks into the kitchen)
Clayton: Hello, Ladies.
Sophia: So, Clayton, what do you think of the Miami weather so far?
Clayton: Why, I think it's been lovely!
Sophia: I see.....Have you ever been to Europe?
Clayton: No, but it's always been a dream of mine.
Sophia: Ok, how many fingers am I holding up?
Clayton: Two.
Sophia: Ok, you can go back into the living room now.
(Clayton walks back into the living room)
Sophia: The Man's as gay as a picnic basket!
Dorothy: Ma, that is incredible! How'd you know?
Sophia: I heard him singing in the shower the other morning. He's the only man I know who knows all the words to "Send In The Clowns."

;) :P
