I know most here like Lord of the Rings. I know a fair few like Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I would imagine almost everybody here likes musicals.

This is slightly off-topic (even though this is the off topic forum, I am off THIS topic if you catch my drift...anyways), but...

I didn't really think much of the Buffy musical episode. The lack of singing talent aside, I was very disappointed with what would have been a truly great episode. If you compare it with the other great "novelty" episode ("Hush", the silent episode); "Hush" was done far better.

Still the musical episode had it's moments.

I have to agree - the musical episode got more hype than was required. Other programmes had done it before - such as Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal and Xena. It wasn't really original. But it does have some good songs in it.

Talking of Xena, "The Bitter Suite" is superior to "Once More with Feeling" in every respect! Even the title is a work of genius! (But the second musical Xena episode, "Lyre, Lyre, Heart's on Fire" sucks).

I'm also a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan that would be so great the first musical was awesome. They should have a musical special for at least one episode for a show.

I think that The Simpsons and Angel did a musical also.
