I know Pocahontas is delayed again for 2005, but does anyone know when in 2005 it will be? I'm really starting to get antsy for this because I loved this movie soo much when I saw it in the theaters and I haven't seen it since (I can't wait to see it tomorrow on Disney Channel! ). If it has to be delayed to 2005, I'm hoping for an early year release, but I am still praying for a september release this year (Disney changes their release dates so much, it could happen! )
Pocahontas on DVD has been delayed until May 2005 I believe. Lilo and Stitch was supposed to come out on DVD this year along with Pocahontas but Disney decided to delay the release of both DVDs until Lilo and Stitch 2 is in theaters. What does Pocahontas have to do with Lilo and Stitch 2, I have no idea. It stinks that we have to wait so long.

It's coming to theaters, but I believe it will be made by the same artists who work on the direct-to-video titles. It's just like Return to Neverland & Jungle Book 2 - they are basically DTV movies, but were released in theaters first.
That would actually make a lot of sense because then Pocahontas, March Platinum (Bambi?) and Lilo will all be an even 2 months apart, so no one will overshadow the either and will give the public time to enjoy each one on its own. Of course, since this idea makes perfect sense, we can trust Disney to NOT follow this idea.

I really want "Pocahontas" to be released this year... In the second semester, maybe.
Considering the success of sales of "Alice in Wonderland", I won't be surprised if Disney decides to release "Pokey" by the end of the year.

Pokey, hehe. I don't think I'm ever gonna forget that now.
I hate waiting. I don't get why we have to wait until May 2005. I don't have much patience. You should see me wait in line when I'm buying something at a store!
I'm really crossing my fingers for a January release like Alice. Then they could have Lilo & Stitch in May.
January - Pocahontas
March - Unannounced Platinum title.
May - Lilo & Stitch
We can all hope!
It sounds great!
This is what I think that might happen in 2005.

Feburary- The Return of Jafar ? /Aladdin and the King of Thieves ?
March-Bambi PE
May-Lilo and Stitch ME / Lilo and Stitch 2?

If only we already had Aladdin, and this calendar was for 2004.
I'd rather have Aladdin and its sequels than Lion King. Plus, this means an SE Little Mermaid II, plus the "all-new direct-to-video feature, The Little Mermaid 0.5: Ursula's Banishment" (which I actually wouldn't mind as a prequel)
I definitely think we'll get the Aladdin sequels in late 2004/early 2005 on DVD to follow the Aladdin PE release. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a Little Mermaid II rerelease on DVD... and like you said, a third installment straight-to-dvd. After all, the Mermaid "Fab 4" contemporaries (B&B, Aladdin, TLK are all trilogies, so why not?).
