I went to the World of Disney NYC store the other day and took a peek at the outfits in the window. I don't recognize one of them, though. If anybody has seen the store, there's one on the... leftish side I don't recognize. It has a lot of embroidery and almost looks like this American Girl dress.
I'd never noticed that the wedding dress has that... division on the (wearer's) right side. I thought it was uniform all the way around. It is pretty, even though I still am not a fan of the big poofy sleeves.
(I wonder if I'll wind up buying the costume necklace I see on the website. XD)
But, of course, since World of Disney is separate from the Disney Store, they didn't have any Enchanted merchandise (you'd expect them to have everything and more, but it's a store that's severely lacking in up to date lines of Disney things). The movie's still almost a month away, so maybe it'll show up then.
("Classic" is so overused by companies. A movie should be called classic when it is a classic)

Disney's Enchanted
Atlanticaunderthesea meant if it will be classified by Disney and an official Animated Classic. I'm sorry, but I believe only fully animated films make it as an Animated Classic. I don't think Mary Poppins or Roger Rabbit are on there.Ariel'sprince wrote:A classic for sure.
Did you find any Enchnated stuff in Franch?.
And do you think that Giselle will be a Disney Princess?.
EDIT; Julian Carter answered your question.
I'm almost definately sure she will be a Disney Princess though!

I made my own Disney Princess music video to "True Love's Kiss," if anyone wants to see it....
It was my first attempt at making a video!
So, here's the link:

Disney's Enchanted
I saw it, and...it was okay. I liked the beginning, that really fit, I liked how it was like Edward came to save her right away by going down the well. I liked how Snow White was telling the animals about True Love's kiss, then Cinderella, then Sleeping Beauty. However, I thought you needed to show a little more kissing, like perhaps incorporate some hazy, blurry, somehow "dreamy" images of them getting kissed or about to be kissed. Like, at "that's the reason we need lips so much", you showed the animals dressing as the prince, and that didn't really fit. You could have showed that close up of Sleeping Beauty when she sleeps, the part when Maleficent says, "Lips red as the rose, in ageless sleep she find repose." And that scene already has a dreamy fogginess. I did like how Ariel was done in most spots, except I wouldn't have shown Flounder swimming, and I would have had her meeting Eric seem more like a dream, like after the part where she finishes "Part of That World", do the clip of her saying "Bright young women" and fade it or morph it to the part where she gets her legs and the light glows, and then have her meeting Eric in her blue dress. Good idea having Snow White cleaning during, "Ahahahahah!" But then we coem again to "that's the reason we need lips so much", and, well, that would be a time for the animals pretending to be Brair Rose's prince, because that's when the animals are singing, and that could also be for when the mice make Cinderella's dress, etc. Belle should have appeared a lot sooner, you put her in the music video too late and it's "why is she here all of a sudden?" However, it's kind of an interesting transition going from that to the bids Gaston is going to shoot. If you had showed Gastone killing the bird, and then threw in a whole bunch more of the princes, like Phillip on his horse or Prince Charming walking towards Cinderella at the other end of the ballroom, that would have been better because this is now the part of the song where the Prince is meeting the heroine and he sounds super manly so I would show hunting and charging on a horse for the manliness of his voice. Phillip dancing with Aurora was fine, but there should have been more princes than just him at this part. Barrage the video with prince images, just throw them at the viewer, like the manly, charging, attacking men they are! Now, I guess having Cinderella's wedding for most of the finale was alright, but you should have included some with Snow White riding towards her Prince's castle and Ariel getting her wedding, too. And then, since the video began with Enchanted in the first place, it should end with it, too. There is a "Legacy" video with Edward announcing Giselle's name and riding off with her in the sunset. That would be a good way to end the video with something from Enchanted.Poody wrote:I made my own Disney Princess music video to "True Love's Kiss," if anyone wants to see it....

Re: Disney's Enchanted
Julian Carter was talking about the United Kingdom giving more Disney movies than just the animated ones a "Classic" title, and Atlanticauderthesea is from the United Kingdom, too, so that's what she was talking about. I was talking about the "Animated Classics", which was not what she was talking about.Ariel'sprince wrote:Oh,okay.

Thanks for the tips
It was my first time trying that so I did kinda just throw some at the clips together. I used all the clips from my own DVDs, so I didn't have anything else from Enchanted to work with. I thought about searching for the videos on youtube and ripping them to avi videos, but I thought the quaily would probably suck after all the converting....

Thank you for your answers regarding whether 'Enchanted' will be a Classic or not. I personally hope it will, but you never know with Disney. Mary Poppins is a Classic over here, so there is hope for Enchanted
And Ariel's Prince, there were loads of things! Clothes, books, toys, dolls, stationary etc. 'Enchanted' was the window display as well.
Also, I heard that DisneyLand Resort Paris are planning some special park celebrations for the release of the movie. When I get some more info, I'll post what I know.
I keep rewatching the UK trailer, and I love the scene where Giselle shows Robert her handywork with the curtains. Always makes me laugh! It was attatched to 'Stardust' over here, and it got a fantastic audience reaction. So excited !

I saw Enchanted today at a press screening in Paris, and I left the thatre with a huge smile on my face. The Disney touch of magic I missed for so long at Christmas is back.
The film is not a stupid pop references nonsense parody, but a beautiful tribute to the Disney classics with a modern twist that refresh the fairytale spirit. It's funny (very at moments), touching (wonderful scenes) and very entertaining. Amy Adams is gorgeous and is really convincing as the Princess lost in the real world, naive and touching. The songs, yet so few, are wonderful, True Love Kiss is a perfect opening, Happy Working Song is hilarious and How Does She Knows is pure Broadway in the middle of Central Park (Loved it!). There's a lot of cameos to catch for Disney fans (Jodi Benson, Paige O'Hara...
MINOR SPOILER: There's a scene where Giselle look through an aquarium and the elevator music plays Part of Your World /SPOILER
and some fun facts hidden in the movie (Some famous Disney Menken tunes are incorporated discretly in the score). Marsden is a real treat and funny (character reminiscent of Gaston from BatB and Joey in Friends IMO), Dempsey is casually efficient , Idina Menzel is beauty too
SPOILER especially animated
and as for Sarandon she Rocks but seen not enough (she appears live at the 3/4 of the movie). The animated beginning brings back nostalgic memories to see 2D animation on the big screen, the quality is okay for the onscreen time. The only bad point is the underwhelmed climax with the dragon ( a bit toony but it's okay with the movie tone ). As for the rest, this is what we expect from a Disney movie, magical experience with memorable characters and great songs. We've been waiting for that for a long time, so don't miss it !
