If Disney was smart, they could sell those at the Disney Store...I know I'd buy one!! The retro look of the poster, and the whole idea of the short, is just exciting and interesting.

And the idea of Disney not making 2-discs because of 'parental concerns' is just bizarre and stupid. It's just an excuse for them to be cheap. If they were smart, they'd do what they've done for Pirates and Narnia, and release a 1 disc set for these 'worried parents' and do the collectors set for the fans who want them. Seriously, by not doing this, Disney is alienating a good portion of their market. I, for one, have no plans of buying Ratatouille, despite the fact I loved that movie. Maybe if there's a better release in the future...

But seeing as how the Platinum line seems to be the only 2-disc sets coming out of Disney as of late, I'm not getting my hopes up. :(

From article:
Would you believe that it's because Mom & Dad are concerned that -- in their rush to load this new DVD into the player -- that they might accidentally drop the wrong disc into the machine? Which will then cause their kid to complain about how they're not able to see the movie. Which now negates the whole point of buying this new Disney / Pixar film in the first place. Which was to provide these parents with something that can then entertain and/or distract their children for a few hours.
It's marked "Disc 1" and it's nesting in a hinged plastic door that covers the second disc so obviously the disc you see when you open the case is the one containing the movie! I wouldn't be surprised if these kind of parents are partially responsible for the existence of stupid warning labels (ex: "For external use only!" -- On a curling iron.)

Something's rotten in Riverton.....if we are saying that Disney isn't releasing a 2 disc Aristocats because we will in the future double dip, then maybe we should let Disney know that they've already released a single disc edition and now it is time for that 2 disc set they promised us.

btw, am I right in thinking that there are now THREE animation departments at Disney? The CGI department (which is now the PIXAR department), the 2D animation department, and the motion capture animation department (Robert Zemeckis' company that is working on "A Christmas Carol" for Disney next year)? I like how there is so much exploration of the animation medium, but perhaps this is teetering on oversaturation?
