See, I see her wedding dress as similar to Glinda, the good witch, in the Wizard Of Oz, at least the live-action dress.Ariel'sprince wrote: No,her wedding dress is Ariel's dress (even the fact that she reminds of Cinderella when she gets out of the carrige).
In her personality she's also like Belle,Ariel,Pocahontas and she's a homage to walt's pricnesses.
I liked you siggy and avater,Flanger-Hanger.

"Happy Working Song" sequence was quite nice and cute at the same time while also having the funny aspect. I'm glad how many homages there were to scenes from Cinderella (bubbles) etc., and of course the song itself paid tribute to past Disney songs as well.
Despite all the tongue-in-cheek stuff the plot, the actors and music seem to genuinely embrace Disney magic, and from what I've seen it seems to work quite well. I can't wait to see the movie and hear the music in its complete form. I wonder, though, if the rumoured deleted song was a villain song for Narissa, because her theme in the underscore is quite powerful and sinister and would've been great to hear in a proper villain song format.

Disney Store in the US has quite a bit of Enchanted stuff out now. 2 shirts for girls, 2 for ladies, the white dress, pink dress (as pj's) the white shoes and tiara, plate, placemat, a bowl, another pj outfit, etc.
I want the ladie's shirts. There is one of Narissa (real) holding the apple that says "the original queen of mean" and there is one that has Robert, Giselle and Narissa (actors) that says "anything's possible".

US Disney Stores are now playing a behind-the-scenes preview and trailer for "Enchanted." It includes interviews with Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Susan Sarandon, and director Kevin Lima. It will likely air on the Disney Channel later in November, but if you can't wait that long... make haste to your local Disney Store.
I recently started working for Disney Store in the Atlanta area, and we seem to be getting new product every day this week for "Enchanted". No dolls yet, unfortunately, but I don't doubt they're coming soon.
For any skeptics out there (like myself, on first impressions of this movie) who suspect this is simply another shallow kids/tween movie, think again. One of the producers of "Enchanted" is Barry Sonnenfeld--producer and/or director on Men In Black (and the sequel), RV, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and a similar style spoof "The Tick" live-action TV series. He has a quick wit and a knack for getting the most out of visual gags. Even some of his less memorable comedic films have their moments, and it's largely to his credit and the performances he's able to pull from the cast members that those movies were even entertaining.

Disney's Enchanted
EXACTLY what I thought! It looks most like Glinda's MGM movie dress because of the puffy sleeves and huge skirt and very light color, but mostly the big butterfly on it! It's even in the same place as Glinda's silver butterfly! And Amy Adam's strawberry-blonde hair matches MGM Glinda's hair.LizzieMcGuire wrote:See, I see her wedding dress as similar to Glinda, the good witch, in the Wizard Of Oz, at least the live-action dress.
But I'd say the dress in relation to the Disney princesses is a mix of Cinderella's ballgown because her's is has a big puffy skirt, smaller puffy sleeves, and is white and silver (except in the dark, then it's shades of blue, and Giselle's dress actually does look blue when she falls through the well!), and Ariel's wedding dress because that was big and poofy with roughly the same poofy sleeves.

I'm still not too sure what I think of this movie yet. I've seen a few trailers for it and it does look kinda cute. A movie like this usually isn't really my thing, but I think this has a really great cast and it looks very creative and original. Also, the fact that Idina Menzel is in it (though, I'm not sure how major her role is) makes it look even more appealing. I'm buying Ratatouille from Best Buy on Tuesday, so I will be getting my Enchanted "movie cash", so maybe with a free movie ticket, I might give this flick a whirl in the theaters.

I was wondering; do you think this will be regarded as a Disney Classic? Or just as as 'Walt Disney Pictures Presents' like the Pirates movies? I think that it might possibly be a 'Classic' as it has animation in the film. Or is that just wishful thinking?

I think that the UK release may grant it the 'Classics' banner seeing as it has done this to all Disney live-action films featuring animation (Roger Rabbit excepted as it was presented by Touchstone). In Region 1... you can just forget the idea.atlanticaunderthesea wrote: I was wondering; do you think this will be regarded as a Disney Classic? By the way ... could BVHE-UK actually be abandoning its 'Classics' banners as evidenced by the new 'Jungle Book' DVD?, For once, a UK DVD has retained the US Platinum banner, with no mention of 'Classics'.
