I don't think this is a big deal. The original movies perspective was through Simba's eyes while this one is through Timon & Pumbaa's eyes. It is kind of like in real life, when you look in the mirror you often see yourself completely different as other perceive you.

Buena Vista Home Entertainment sold <b>1.5 million units</b> of The Lion King 1 1/2 on home video and DVD in its first day of sales, the company said on Wednesday.

The sequel tells the story of the original 1994 blockbuster The Lion King from the point of view of Timon and Pumbaa. The first film has sold more than 55 million units in home video and DVD formats.

Wow, that's better than I expected! I was thinking perhaps 1 million, because when I went to various stores, it didn't look like they were exactly "flying off the shelf". But it looks like its total sales are going to exceed my expectations.

little mermaid 1.5 (from sebastian point of view)
aladdin 1.5 (from the genie point of view)
pocahontas 1.5 (from meeko and flit point of view)
tarzan 1.5 (from terk and tantor point of view)
Hunchback 1.5 (from the gargoyles point of view)
...and the list will go on and on...

Oh no PheR . . . you're probably right . . . but remember, it will all be cross promoted. We won't see Bambi 1.5 - Thumper's Story until we get a 2-disc rerelease of the original . . .

LOL!! I thought that I had changed the channel too!! It freaked me out at first, and has a sense of confusion "the first time you see it" until Timon talks....

I would actually like that a lot! I have a storybook from when I was younger called "Sebastian's Story" and that is exactaly what it is! "The Little Mermaid" told by him! I have to admit, it's a cool little storybook and I think it would make a neat movie!

Same with me. When I went to Wal-Mart to pick up TLK 1 1/2. They were all still on the shelf. Maybe it was because they had just put them out there, I don't know. It's a good DVD except I HATE that Raven music video.

what ? you never heard of subtitles?

I do remember rumors of Genie spinoff videos to Aladdin. though I wonder if that might be true now . Aladdin: the Genie's story

first thing that popped in my head when I saw TLK 1 1/2 was a Genie or Sebastian movie

still waiting for a Mushu movie or series from Mulan
