Commentary on Chicken Little UK Blu Ray?

Post by MattDean »

:? Please help! Have recently bought Chicken Little on Blu Ray. It states on the cover it has a commentary. I can't seem to find it on the disc, it does list deleted scenes with an option for one, though. Has anyone else got this disc? Is the feature commentary on there? There's a similar problem with The Wild. On the BVHV Blu Ray site (whatsonbluray.co.uk) it lists a commentary as a feature on The Wild. Again...I can't find it! They're both UK Blu Rays. Any info appreciated :)

THANKS!

Matt

I assume you are using a PS3 to play your discs on.

I can't help with the Chicken Little question as I have the US "ABC" (region free) version which does have the commentary on. When putting the disc in the PS3 it does say it is "checking" before any menu options come up, so perhaps if you are on a stand alone player, options which are not supported are not listed?

However, the Disney UK Pirates of the Caribbean discs do miss the commentary tracks off, so perhaps the same is true of Chicken Little. It's lame if it does, what with Blu-ray studios constantly boasting about their 50Gb storage limit.

As for the Wild, this does not and has never had a commentary track on either the UK or US release (I have the UK The Wild on Blu-ray). However it does have commentary for the deleted scenes.

Update the features for The Wild listed on the website are actually for The Rock  Typical Buena Vista Home Entertainment UK shoddyness once again.

AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SITE IS STILL ADVERTISING THE COMMENTARIES FOR THE PIRATES MOVIES! :x

See what the Advertising Standards Authority have to say about that!

Update Again And it claims Cars is "available NOW" on Blu-ray.

Just forget about that site. its full of lies.

I have just submitted a formal complaint via the Advertising Standards Agency. I will not let Buena Vista Home Entertainment UK get away with their slap-dash disregard for their customers any longer.

Yes, I'm feeling grumpy today.

:o Wow! Thanks for the quick response!

I am using a UK PS3, it's had its recent firmware update and, as far as I can tell, doesn't say checking when it swallows the disc. There's just no mention of the commentary on any menu. I am new to Blu though so perhaps I'm a bit ignorant of its characteristics...

Thanks for The Wild info. BVHE - Tut! :)

Any idea if Disney/Pixar's Rat. Blu Ray (sorry, couldn't remember how to spell the full title!) is coded for all regions? If so, can you suggest a reliable site to order it from?

I can't remember exactly what the text is, but my US Chicken Little shows Chicken Little dancing with a blue hexegan in the background on the centre of a black screen while it does some internal processing when the disc is first booted up and before the menu is shown.

As for "The Rat" :D I doubt it will be coded for all regions, as it is a NEW day-and-date title in the US. There is a chance it will be, but I wouldn't have have too much hope.

However, you will be able to get the Australian release sometime in January - 2 months ahead of the assumed March UK release. Austalia like the UK is region "B".
