Frank and Ollie DVD

Post by Simba3 »

Does anyone here own, or has anyone at least seen, the Frank and Ollie DVD
I didn't even know it existed until the other day when I was browsing through the Disney movies at Best Buy when they has most of their titles on sale for 25% off. Anyway, I really like Frank and Ollie, I love learning more about them on the Platinum Edition DVDs and elsewhere. I was just wondering if anyone here owns it or has seen it, I would like to know what you think of it?

I own it. I haven't watched it in a while, but I really enjoyed it. It has them talking about their lives, pretty much (but it's very intereting). They just seem to be/have been such great, fun-loving people. They're best friends, and that's great.

I would recommend it, but sorry I'm not helping much- it's been a while since I've seen it!

I saw it when I was like 9, and mom/dad bought for me while we were on vacation or something. Back then, I didn't get the concept but when I saw it at age 16 I totaly grasped the film. Recently I was in FL and browsing Disney's shops here/there and I found Frank/Ollie dvds it was very tempting to buy cause my vid. copy seems a bit fadded (not much) so I decided to wait on it, when I head back home. Next I checked out the Best Buy in OR (my home) and they had it too. Sadly didn't buy it.

I own the Frank And Ollie DVD and I love it. It has been some time since I've watched it but I'll probably watch it again this weekend.

I love the personal glimpse into their private lives but I mainly bought the DVD for the additional information it contains on various aspects of Disney animation history.

I consider this DVD a worthwhile buy for anyone interested in Disney animation.

If you have any interest in animation at all, Frank and Ollie is a must watch movie. It's not a movie that you would watch constantly, but it's definitely required viewing. I love how they reenact famous parts of animation they did between segments.

Haven't got the DVD of F&O, but I found an "exclusive" set of three "Disney-background themed" VHS tapes probably before the time of Disney DVDs. The material included was F&O, The Reluctant Dragon and some sort of Walt Disney documentary - I forgot the title.

I own it and watched it recently. Not as good as the Walt: Man Behind the Myth DVD but still enjoyable. Really enjoyed the two of them and their friendship however the editing job was not very good. The incites from Disney animators who came after them were really good as well.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on the Frank and Ollie DVD. I wanted to hear first hand from Disney fanatics about this movie. Perhaps, I'll look into renting the movie first, before I purchase it. I'm really excited to see this DVD, I really like Frank and Ollie - they are legends in the animation field.

I really enjoyed it, I loved seeing their friendship and all the other info about them. I agree that Walt:the man behind the myth is good too.

I bought this maybe 3 or 4 years ago and still haven't gotten around to watching it. Thanks for bringing it back on the radar. Perhaps I will view it soon.
