Kudos to Toon Disney
Kudos to Toon Disney
While I realize they're not Disney shows, I must say I'm very happy to see Batman the Animated Series, Superman the Animated Series and Pink and the Brain on Toon Disney. These were some of my favorites as a teenager and a man of twenty.

I founded that stupid and redundant. WTF are they doing on a disney channel anyway??? They should be on Cartoon Network or Boomarang. Not Toon Disney.DDMAN26 wrote:While I realize they're not Disney shows, I must say I'm very happy to see Batman the Animated Series, Superman the Animated Series and Pink and the Brain on Toon Disney. Agree with the others, those show has nothing to do with Disney.
Insted they should make new shows based on movies (like The Little Mermaid series,Lilo and Stitch series,Aladdin series and etc.).
I remeber i heard that they want to make a series based on Treasure Planet,it will be released?.
I think that they should make shows based on Pocahontas (maybe even Snow White (which will tell about Snow White living with the dwarfs) or Enchanted (Giselle's early adventure before she met Edward and fell to New York)).

Or you can just buy the dvds to them, like I did.blackcauldron85 wrote: I am happy for you that you're able to watch them, DDMAN26, but I just don't feel like they belong on there.
Batman TAS and Superman TAS are not rubbish shows(especially since Superman had Lex Luthor, one of the best villians i've seen.). Both won Emmy awards if you never knew.271286 wrote:I'd wish Disney developed more shows in the style of their "Disney afternoon" series instead of bying the rights to all these rubbish shows..

I guess Toon Disney will show an episode of "Pinky and the Brain" entitled "Yes, Always" based on an Orson Welles outtake "Frozen Peas". Thanks to Hank Hayes for this clip from this show which is now being shown on Toon Disney's "Jetix". Here is a clip from this shown now on Jetix.

I was trying to remember why I don't post here anymore and some of these responses told me why. All I said was that I'm happy I can watch these shows again. And sorry in the last twenty years Disney never produced a show as good as Batman the Animated series. In fact up until Batman Begins, it was the single best Batman adaption ever. I'm a Gargoyles fan and wish it was on earlier instead of all the Yu GI Oh garbage they show. But Gargoyles just can't hold a candle to Batman TAS.

I have a two faced opinion on this. It's great to see shows like Pinky and the Brain and Jackie Chan Adventures on television again, but Toon Disney is playing a huge number of kids shows that make it impossible for me to catch my favorite shows on the channel.
It may seem degrading to Toon Disney, but I see Toon Disney as being able to show anything ranging from Disney to non-Disney where as Disney Channel can only play what they create.

Disney Channel doesn't play what they create. I just watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets the other night on Disney Channel. That is WB movie.
And this really isn't the first time Disney has played other studio's shows/movies. I remember watching Land Before Time on Disney and Toon Disney, among many other shows/movies. And Disney isn't the only one playing rival studio's movies. A lot of tv stations do it. So its just kinda redundant to get upset about it. Like I said, the only thing that bothers me if that B:TAS and Superman are getting all this attention and Disney's own great action/adventure show Gargoyles is still constantly shoved back like a black sheep.

Hey! I'm big Batman TAS as much the next guy, but seriously, why is it on a Disney Channel??? It's a WB production.DDMAN26 wrote:I was trying to remember why I don't post here anymore and some of these responses told me why. All I said was that I'm happy I can watch these shows again. And i think that they should get of all of those childish shows about teenage girls (That's So Raven,Hannah Montana,Kim Possible,The Proud Familiy,Lizzie McGuire etc.),it's all the same about a brat, snobish little girl with dumb perents and an annoying young sibling, and i can't believe that they think that those shows fit people who past age 13 then the animated movies!

YES!!! Double kudos to toon disney!
Batman the Animated Series was and still is my favorite animated t.v. show, so it's nice to see and rewatch all of the episodes...I know it's not Disney related including a lot of other shows the channel is airing, but still it's nice
Seriousley though, they have been re-running the same of their original shows since Toon Disney first aired...or just getting Disney Channels older/failed animated shows and re-running them cycle after cycle...which is nice for newer generations of viewers, but how long does that take to happen?
Perhaps maybe if they decided to make new shows that are Disney related too then that would be a nice mix and all.

wouldnt shows spinned off movies get monotonous after a while?Ariel'sprince wrote:No,just shows based on Disney films (maybe even Pixar's).Someday... wrote: or how about a new cartoon entirely.

I mean Im all for the getting rid of the tweeness, but I would love some new ideas coming out.
