There's not going to be a Broadway Soundtrack.Matt wrote:Ummm, why no Broadway Soundtrack?!?!?!?!?
There will, however, be a cast recording. Hope you're not too disappointed.

Ariel's Beginning will be going to the vault in January of 2009. (I would guess that the original's Platinum Edition and a hypothetical rerelease of Return to the Sea will also be disappearing then.) There will be books featuring the Ariel's Beginning title beginning in May of 2008. The ad campaign will be on par with Cinderella III.bruno_wbt wrote:Hey Luke, do you have more infromation?
I really can't wait!!!!

So, she pretends to be nice? She wants to come up with a killer concert to destroy Atlantica?! I'm just playing around...Aladdin from Agrabah wrote:Ariel and her sisters are practicing with Miss Del Rey for "The Lunar Tide Festival".
Oh my gosh,Disney Duster,i completley forgot about it!Disney Duster wrote:Thank you Luke!
And now, I would like to point out a little connection I made:

That sounds like an ideal episode of the TV series!Disney Duster wrote:Thank you Luke!

If you remember the storyboards we saw a while ago? They featured the opening of the movie, and Ariel was with Eric on his ship, looking for something it seemed like. So it is very very likely that Ariel will be telling Eric her story. Her 'beginning'.Chernabog_Rocks wrote:Wait....how is Eric going to be in the movieI thought Ariel had never seen him before until the first movie so what role will he be playing??? I might be wrong, it's been ages since I've watched Little Mermaid
Well,i don't think that Triton hates music (come on,that won't make any sense),i think that the villain is "witch-fish" or something and she cast a spell on him.Disney's Divinity wrote:That sounds like an ideal episode of the TV series!Disney Duster wrote:Thank you Luke!

Yeah, that show was really bad with its plotlines. And I hate how the continuum for the TLM is all screwed up. In the first film, they're celebrating Ariel's beautiful voice (and, on a sidenote, Triton wishes Ariel would play his father's [Poseidon's] calliope in the series) and now, before all that, we find out that Triton hated music. They're making Triton a little too domineering here...
Yay, you laughed at my little joke. But you're so right, that does sound like something the TV series would do, kind of reminds me of Ursula enchanting Ariel's objects to attack Atlantica! But still, I do like the series, except for Ariel going into Ursula's lair and finding all her stuff, but Ariel seemed not to know her lair in the movie. Better yet, why did she trust Ursula when she was obviosuly so evil? The series should have made Ursula's evil hidden more, like, come on, that time when she used that stone to turn people into worms?Disney's Divinity wrote:That sounds like an ideal episode of the TV series!![]()
So, Triton could have forbid music, then by the end of this prequel Ariel makes him love it again, and then there's the music-loving series, and then the voice-sacrificing movie, and then the music-mangling sequel! Though I actually like some of the music from that..."you're my beautiful Mel-o-dyyyyyyyyyyyy"...DonDuck wrote:A DVD-flyer over here in Germany gives a short "preview" of the story of Mermaid III.
It says:
"King Triton forbids the music in his kingdom.
Ariel tries to restore life under the sea and has to decide:
Should she follow the order of her father or should she follow her heart?"
