OK
I finally got the time and posted the dvd menu screen shots
Not much in this DVD :)

There is no Sneak Previews page either
So you MUST play the dvd from the begining every time you'd want to watch the 101 D trailer ugh

I spotted an easter egg on the main menu as well...

I agree. It was alright to use that style in the end credits...but this is pushing it. The humans look like the ones from The Powerpuff Girls cartoon series.

Really? I love it. Sure it is stylized (and it's supposed to be) but the Incredibles menus and the Monsters, Inc. were that too.

I like the menu! It is something different for a change and still matches the movie. Normally the menus are too clip-arty for me, but this is great.

you people who dont like the menu have no taste. it has a certain storybook charm to it.

anyway, this is kind of off topic, but am I right to assume ratatouille doesnt have a commentary? because this sucks if true. I'm wondering if the blue ray version will at least have one. I know cars is going to have a picture in picture commenty exclusive to the format, so I'm hoping that's the case if one is not included on the standard dvd release.

does anyone know if the blu ray one has it?

as for the Dalmatians thing, I personally never cared for the movie. it has a depressing art style and color pallet to me. it looks like the people working on the movie didn't enjoy their job and that was reflected into the final product. there's too many straight lines and dull colors.

here's the trailer on youtube if anyone hasn't seen.

since when did disney stop using their signature voice over guy?

lighthousemike, 2 questions:
- Besides 101, what other previews comes with the movie?
- Is the slipcover shinny like the previous Disney releases?
Thanks already! :)

Well, it's official - the fourth quarter of 2007 and all of 2008 will be the year of double-dipping and upgrading of Disney DVDs for me. Let's see:

1. Return to Neverland - Double dipping because the original release I got from GameStop is in bad condition and who knows how much longer it can hold out.

2. Cinderella II - Buying for first time. I still have my friend's that I "borrowed" (without a case).

3. The Aristocats - Don't own this on DVD yet, so it won't be either.

4. 101 Dalmatians - Upgrading. I JUST got my hands on the Limited Issue in December of 2006 (during that period where the PE kept getting bumped off the schedule and then rescheduled and moved around so many times that no one knew when or if the PE was ever going to be released)

5. Sleeping Beauty - Double Dipping. Got the SE DVD about 2 years ago before the PE was announced. If I wasn't such a psychotic completist I wouldn't be rebuying it (I'm collecting all the PEs)

...and who knows what other movies Disney will re-release this coming summer and fall....

You should start a business here. Buy a huge bulk and sell them here to us. I am sure Luke will not mind because we will ALL be getting the DVDs early. ;)

I definitely want to have the DVD of Ratatouille. If I'm not mistaken it will come out around christmas this year in The Netherlands.

I'm not at all interested in the sequel to Peter Pan Return to Neverland. First of all, I never buy any 'cheapquel', secondly, I'm not even that fond of the original Peter Pan. I have it on VHS, but I already could have replaced it with a 2Disk DVD set If I wanted to. And yet I didn't.
I love the original Cinderella, but the sequels I avoid.

As for 101 Dalmatians I'm still thinking.

Thanks for sharing stuff like this with us! :D

The "Ratatouille" DVD looks terrific, even if we in the UK have to wait a little longer until it comes to our stores (then again, it's just released in cinemas so we shouldn't be that upset at all really!).

And as for 101 Dalmatians? I am really looking forward to getting that on DVD, they seem to have restored it extremely well for DVD. All really good stuff!
