Hmm so they are giving the February spot to a DAC rather than a cheapquel? Excellent, hope that is an indication for the rest of the year.

Regardless of its disc count I will be picking it up. It's one of the DACs I need to buy still.

Can't wait to see the art for 101 Dalmatians.

No
But they dropped the 2-Disc thing from the new insert that was in the Jungle Book.
So thats why i think its gonna be a 1 disc :(

i guess they never really found enough bonus features to make it a 2-disc dvd(which it deserves, and any other DAC should atleast too!) even when BVHE-rep confirmed that disney was in fact looking for things that they could use. but on a brighter note, i love the cover art for 101 D. thanks for posting it lighthousemike :D

Do you really think there is not enough material in Disney's records that they could throw together and make this a 2-disc set? that's rediculous.

I guess there is nothing that is for sure saying this will be a single disc, but this looks awfully similar to what happened to Tarzan a few years ago. If this is single disc i'm going to be highly dissapointed in Disney, yet again.

That add for the Aristocats looks just like the one posted for the UK release that is indeed at 1 disker. Normally I'd say Boo Urns under this kind of situation, but it just doesn't due justice. Between the lack of special edition Pixar films and non-platinum edition animated special editions, no general release catalouge Disney films (Whatever happened to Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister?) why bother Disney, why bother. They really just don't care anymore at BVHE.

Well, it's great to see that there are some inserts inside the Ratatouille DVD. The best part, is that there are some release time frames. I was beginning to think we might not 101 Dalmatians in March, but this insert seems to confirm that we will. And, it's nice to have a time frame for the Aristocats DVD as well, too bad it seems pretty certain that it will only be a single disc. I can't say I"m surprised, in fact, I was a bit surprised that it was ever even considered for a double disc, but now that Disney has teased us with the idea, it sucks to not see them follow through. Oh well.

I considered getting Return to Neverland, but "Pixie-Powered Edition?" I'd be ashamed to take that up to the register.

But I plan to get both 101 Dalmatians and The Aristocats. I might see Ratatouille on DirectTV later; it doesn't seem that interesting.

Stupid question, but... how's the slipcover? Is it like the Jungle Book one?

Thanks for sharing those screencaps. Judging by the dvd cover, I assume the dvd will be widescreen-only.

Disney's Divinity- it's a GREAT movie- you definitely should give it a try- don't judge a book by its cover!

As always, thanks for posting, lighthousemike! I won't be picking up "The Aristocats", since I already have the Gold Collection DVD.

At least with "Tarzan", they had enough bonus features for a second disk (from the Collector's Edition), but they just chose not to put them on the latest release.

I like the cover art for "101 Dalmatians" enough, but I feel like its missing something. Maybe it's just that it seems too dreary. I mean, I've heard that England is a foggy place (totally not trying to be rude!), but it seems not bright enough or something...I dunno. But the cover art isn't what's important. I can't wait to finally own that movie on DVD!

Very cool. Can't wait to finally own 101 Dalmations on dvd, it's the only disney classic left I still really need. Some I can do without, but not this one, Dalmation's something special yeah.

I'll rent Ratatouille when it comes out. I'll make it one of my "Return the total access dvds in store free rentals" so I don't spend one $ on it. It looked really boring to me.

Can't wait for Dalmatians! One of my favorites. I own the gold collection Aristocats. I don't need to double dip.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

Thanks lighthousemike! The DVD cover looks beautiful except for the creators quote on top. No one needs reminding of Pixar's epic films. Oh and it's too bad they didn't use a non-transparent cover for the disc art.

Is there by any chance you could scan the Chapter Insert? I'm curious as to see what that looks like. (Hopefully nice.)

Does anyone know why on some Pixar films they decide to put credits on the back of the cover and others they don't?

I really wasnt interested in Ratatouille either, but then I watched it and I really enjoyed it; it's a cute little movie. Oh, and Return to Neverland isnt bad either.

Thanks a lot for the Ratatouille preview, lighthousemike!!!!
I love the disc art.

I am already excited for 101D although it isn't one of my favorite DACs.
The same goes for Aristocats which I never really expected to get a 2-Disc anyway.
