I hope it does it could be a triology set.
It could involve a new toy that comes to town.
Action figure like a fighter. He is better than Woody and Buzz.

The only thing scary about Toy Story 3 would be wether or not it would be as good as the others. If not, don't do it! As far as Jurassic Park 3 goes, I thought that it was better than JP2. I didn't like the ending to the Lost World but JP 3 had more action and dinosaur violence! Moohahahaha!Nedakh wrote: I do hope Pixar delivers, we don't need a Jurrasic Park 3 scenario on our hands. Although I am sure Disney is capable of delivering an excellent feature.

I agree about the storyline. The idea of a new, more innovative toy is great. I think a third and final Toy Sory installment is due. Like you, I also enjoyed JP3 more so than JP2Maerj wrote:The only thing scary about Toy Story 3 would be wether or not it would be as good as the others. If not, don't do it! Oh, the way you wrote that it sounded like you didn't! A JP4 is in the works! I really never tire of dinosaur action, so they can keep making them. An R Rated JP 4 would be a very cool thing, hehe!Nedakh wrote:I agree about the storyline. The idea of a new, more innovative toy is great. I think a third and final Toy Sory installment is due. pixar has such a good thing going, each of their releases so far have been really good in my opinion. they have too many irons in the fire right now to worry with a toy story 3. i think it would be stupid of them to ever consider releasing a third toy story. if they did, they would essentiall be "jumping the shark."
The spark of an idea for Toy Story 3 (this is on the Ultimate Toybox somewhere) is that Andy is growing up, the toys are used less and less. At the end, Andy donates the toys to a nursary school, where they will be played with by new children every year. It's a happy ending, being as a toy is made to be played with.
I think this is a great idea (obviously Pixar would add a lot more to the story than the opening and ending they have in mind), and I don't really see how this would "ruin" the characters. It's an ideal ending. Any Toy Story 4 after such an ending would ruin the characters.

Toy Story 3 ??
Last month in an article detailing the split between Disney and Pixar, I read a one-line mention of TOY STORY 3 !!! Here's the excerpt:
" Later, when Mr. Jobs approached Mr. Eisner about adding sequels to the original deal, the Disney chief balked. That angered Pixar executives, particularly the creative director John Lasseter, who wanted to make "Toy Story 3," but could not because Disney owned the rights, the former executive said. "
Does anybody out there know ANYTHING at all about this? It would be a great day for all of us if Toy Story 3 were to be made. But it sounds as if this may never be done due to Disney owning the sequel rights to all of the original Pixar/Disney films.
Any opinions out there on this?
Can anyone out there provide some further clarification/speculation/news on all this?
My mind has been racing about possible plot scenarios for a Toy Story 3. And it also makes me realize that Mr. Lasseter probably already has a TS3 script/storyboard either created and/or in his head -- very cool! Come on, John, give us some hint of what TS3 would be about......
Hoping beyond hope for all this to work out and for the Roundup Gang to ride again on the Big Screen sometime soon......
Cheers,
Mark

Toy Story III
Yeah I agree with Aaron. I wonder what will happen to it now that PIXAR has quit with Disney. I dought it will be as good as the first 2.

IMHO, any attempt by Disney to create a Toy Story 3 without Pixar would be a complete disaster.
It's the unique creativity and vision of the Pixar team that makes them and their product stand a cut above the rest. Anyone else would just mess it up badly.
Come on, Uncle Michael, quit being Scrooge and help us all out. Do what you can to get a "Real" Toy Story 3 made.
Cheers,
Mark R.

Er. Pixar give strong hints as to what Toy Story 3 would be about on the Ultimate Tox Box boxset.JimmyJackJunior wrote:John Lassiter would be foolish to give away any information from this.
Once an idea became associated with it, Disney would have some claim to the rights and Pixar cdould not use the idea for another future movie.
Basically the children in the family would have grown up, leaving Woody and Buzz etc unwanted. Finally the family gives the toys to a nursary school and the toys know that they will be played with for ever. It's a happy ending to the trilogy.
