Hey everyone, I finally gave in and rented the Hannah Montana DVD just to see the trailer, and I wanted to give everyone the synopsis.

The trailer begins, as usual, with the Disney vault being cracked open to a scene of the film. Then on the screen it says "New on 2-disc DVD" and then the words fade away, all but what is left to say "101". It continues to do this fading effect with other phrases, leaving behind a "101". It continues this with "The Offer" - after which it shows Cruella offering money for the puppies, "The Plot" - after which it shows a clips that allow the viewer to get the jist of the movie, and "The Goods" where it shows clips of the puppies. Then it shows many different clips from the film and talks about the film. Then it states how the film is digitally restored and shows a side by side comparison of the old film and the newly restored film. It then talks about bonus features slightly, but only mentions games, a music video, and 101 virtual dalmatians. Finally, it says "Coming Soon" to 2-disc DVD, but only for a limited time.

This trailer seems different from all the other ones, the format is different I guess. I noticed the announcer/narrator of the commercial is a different guy than it usually is. I'm also a little worried that again it only says "Coming Soon" at the end of the trailer and not "March 2008". This makes me feel yet again that we might not see this Platinum Edition release around the same time in spring as we usually do. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid, who knows. The end also says to visit the website at www.101dalmatiansdvd.com, but as most of you probably already know, the official website is still non-existant.

So, there you have it UDers. Before anyone asks me to upload the trailer or clips from it, let me tell you that unfortunately I do not have the technology or the knowledge of how to do that. I'm sorry, I would love to share with you guys, but I'm sure you'll see it soon enough. If you can't bare to wait any longer, you can go rent the Hannah Montana DVD like I did! :)

Today I bought the new Hannah Montana DVD, for the sole purpose of seeing this trailer. 101 Dalmatians is my favorite Disney film, it's the only PE I’ve been looking forward too. This trailer got me so excited for the DVD! I just uploaded it to youtube for everyone to enjoy:

WOW, that got me really excited too lol. And you only got the DVD for the trailer? Why would you waste your money, hehe. I don't mean that in a bad way. I think you could have gotten something else with that money instead of boring Hannah Montana. :p
I just hope it's not a cropped windscreen version. :(
That would so suck if it is!

Thanks to Simba for the information and Disney Villain for the video!

I really like the trailer - 'Sing, sing, sing' was a good choice of song for it. A pity we don't know any of the Backstage Disney features yet, but I suppose they wouldn't specify those yet anyway.

Thanks for posting the trailer DV! I love how they highlight Cruella throughout, I can't wait to see some of the inevitable Cruella merchandise well will be getting! And then maybe the Cruella merch will be so successful that Disney will decide to highlight the villain more in their fall 2008 platinum DVD...

Wow that really was an awesome trailer! one of the best PE trailers ever! and yea its wierd that they would focus on the villan disney is normally all about the little kid stuff. I just hate how they advertise the games and music videos instead of the REAL bonus features but oh well. the preview was def. worth the wait! :)

I just hope they won't screw up the colors and make it look like it was a disney sequel made today as has happened with a few other platinum editions and special editions of late :!: *crossing fingers* :)

Nice trailer :D,thanks Disney Villain :D.
I didn't liked the logo but the logo on the Peter Pan PE trailer wasn't good and the cover it was.
About the website-they allways do that even when the website isn't ready(like in The Little Mermaid PE trailer and Peter Pan PE trailer).

Actually, he "suffered" through the newest "Hannah Montana" DVD, which he bought to watch the trailer.
