I'd like to see something soon as well, but Disney knows they don't have to advertise at all to make Dalmatians one of the top selling DVDs of 2008. 101 Dalmatians will sell like hotcakes regardless of what quality of DVD they make of it. It's just desired by the public that much.Simba3 wrote:No official website?

Oh! I can't wait for you to post that logoatlanticaunderthesea wrote:Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but in the UK edition of Disney Princess Enchated Tales, there is a leaflet saying what to look out for, and 101 Dalmations: Special Edition is among them. It shows the new logo and everything.
If anyone is interested, I could scan it.
I've been reading this thread for a long time, and it seems to be the only interesting news about this PE since the confirmation of its launching...
By the way, i officially decided to stop only reading this forum and post! Hope to be welcomed
YAY!! Thank you very much. I just need something little to hold me over.atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Im so sorry its so late! I sadly cant get my scanner working, so I will take a pic instead. Hope thats ok!
Its only a small thing, not a full page or anything. It just has the new logo, which I really like!
I'll do it now for you!

Look. I saw Plantium Editions trailer before. Adverts for March come in November of a movie from Disney only on DVD. When I saw the sneak previews from a DVD of "Cars," there's a Peter Pan Plantium Edition coming for March 2007. Well, they'll put the advert for both "Meet the Robinsons" (which it is coming in October 23) & "Ratatoullie" (which is coming out in November) for the trailer of "101 Dalmatians."

Ok guys, I am so so so so so sorry for the awful, AWFUL pics! The batteries on my digital cam are not charged up, but as soon as they are, I will take another picture for you. But for now, I took a photo on my phone, hence the awful picture
I am really really sorry!
Here it is anyway, 101 Dalmations 'Special Edition' :

At least you get an idea of it! I will hopefully take a much, much better pic tommorrow. I hope this satisfies some cravings for 101 Dalmations news!

Darn. I was really hoping Disney would write out "One Hundred and One" like they originally did, rather than making it "101" like the did in later releases. To me it looks like the live action version's label with a "special edition" bannar underneath.
Oh well, not that big of a deal. Still salavating over the DVD's release.

Thank you for posting, I just need to see a little something to make sure it was really coming. Hopefully the trailer will be on "Ratatouille", since lighthouse mike has already shown us there is NOT one on "Meet the Robinsons". When "The Little Mermaid" came out last year on October 3rd, we got a first look at the cover art the next day (October 4th) for Peter Pan, so hopefully we'll get a glimse of some cover art in the near future.

Do you mean that the work that should have been done at the time Peter Pan was released is hastily being done now to meet the upcoming release date? Yay ... maybe this DVD release may be even worse than Pan and mark an all-time low for Disney Platinum Editions.KubrickFan wrote:With no information and cover art available, but a logo (which is from the live action one, I think) I'm getting the feeling that it will be a rushed one.

I would think that this title had too much time in production for Platinum Release. It was supposed to come out last spring, and originally set for release this month. I really think that this Platinum has been finished for over a year now, and Disney is just sitting on it waiting for the release date to come. The only reason it didn't come out last spring was because Disney decided, at the last minute, to Release Peter Pan, all for marketing reasons. What ended up happening was the worst Platinum ever. Peter Pan was rushed for release to coincide to the Tinkerbell movie, which then got delayed. I think 101 Dalmatians was finished and ready up until that point.

Bad bonus features, for the most part. A too short making of featurette, the entire movie on disc 2, as a read-a-long (which could easily be put on disc 1, as a subtitle track). The best feature was the audio commentary, and that was ported over from laserdisc.Ariel'sprince wrote:Really? Peter Pan PE was bad?why? (anyway,i love that movie but Cinderella was going to be OOP soon so i deceided to buy Cinderella insted).
So maybe (and I really hope that's the case) I'm wrong, and this will be a big release, with long documentaries and an audio commentary. But I still have doubts, and those doubts will only be taken away when we finally get some news about the release.
