Well, tonight on NBC, their two best comedies - My Name is Earl and The Office - begin their respective third and fourth seasons with one-hour season premieres. I'll be watching, who else will?
As for Earl: I don't care. I watched about two episodes last season so, meh.
But as for The Office: I'm SO FREAKIN' HAPPY!!!
Karen Filippelli in a NBC.com preview: My summer was pretty good. I saw some great movies. I tried some new restaurants. OH! And Jim dumped my ass and left me crying by a fountain in New York City. How was your summer?
I enjoyed both premieres pretty well. Earl started off really slowly, but overall it was a good episode. The Office premiere was hilarious. Dwight and Angela made the episode ("You left your TV on, and oh - Your cat's dead."), and Michael had a few great quote-worthy lines ("I wouldn't say I'm superstitious.... I'm just a little stitious."). Over all, two funny hours of television.
I just love The Office. I think it is the funniest show currently on TV, and never miss an episode! I thought the s4 premeire was hilarious! I'm so glad that (SPOILER) Jim and Pam are finally together!
One of the things I really love about The Office is that it has so many interesting and unique side-characters. Angela, Phyllis, Meredith, Kevin, Stanley, Darrell, Tobey, Oscar, and especially Creed (my favorite character) are all so interesting and funny in their side stories (which is rare in sit-coms).
However, I do have to wonder why My Name is Earl and The Office have to be grouped together under one topic. I find Earl okay, but I find it a bit of a shame that The Office has to play second fiddle to it in a conjoined topic. Perhaps the discussions could be separated? Either way, can't wait for next Thurday! I'm gonna love having all of these episodes be hour longs!
I put them in the same topic because they are often air together and are often advertised in the same commercial. The only reason Earl's name is mention first is because it airs first.
