The Special Edition only has English subs on the International disc. :?

Disc 1 main movie:

Japanese DD 2.0
Japanese 6.1 DTS-ES

No subtitles

Disc 2 multilingual disc of the main movie:

English DD 2.0
French DD 2.0
Korean DD 2.0
Mandarin DD 2.0
Cantonese DD 2.0

Subtitles:
Japanese
English
French
Korean
Mandarin/Chinese simplified
Cantonese/Chinese traditional

That means sub fans will have to buy the 2 disc edition to watch the movie in Japanese with English subtitles.

They did the same thing with Howl's Moving Castle.
No. On second thought I think both discs had the Japanese audio, but the disc with subtitles was in 2.0 only or something like that.

What language/audio options are there on the 2-disc release of Earthsea?

Hmm...that's strange, if there is English DD 2.0 then when it's released in the UK in Summer how come it's only going to have the Japanese?

I know, maybe I phrased my post wrong, what I meant to say was, if there is an English track here then why won't there be on the UK release?

Ok, I'll be quite happy with that one, then. Shame to miss the other extra disc, but based on past experience it wouldn't have any subtitles, anyway. And I of course don't speak Japanese...

I just got done watching Earthsea. This is by far the darkest Ghibli film. I haven't watched the dub yet.

Isn't the DD 6.1 track technically a Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround EX track? Just wondering...
