Someone writing for the Playstation Universe website went to the Disney's Magical Blu-Ray Tour stop in Seattle and claims a Disney rep says SB will be out before Christmas of this year...story...

Which I find nearly impossible to believe---I suspect a misunderstanding---but I promise to jump up and down if it's true.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there was a misunderstanding, but I'll be pretty dang happy if it were true. The comments for that news blip are annoying, though. While there are a couple of people posting that genuinely want the film on Blu-Ray for themselves, most of the commentators are dismissing it as kiddie trash (with one particularly moronic guy comparing Sleeping Beauty to Teletubbies. WTF?). At least the members at Blu-Ray.com are more mature than that.

I think there's an age window where the average male will simply be completely uncomfortable admitting they'd watch Sleeping Beauty---between 13 & 30, maybe. I'm secure enough in my masculinity to enjoy a gorgeous film with multiple fairies.

Yeah, I wish most males had that same outlook. I hate all those stereotypes that Disney is for kids and The Disney Princesses are for girls. It shows in that article that a lot of people still think that way, but ah well, who cares about a narrowminded opinion as long we enjoy it for what it is right?

I still don't really understand how the Blu-Ray Schedual is going to work with the Platinum Editions though...But either way I hope Sleeping Beauty is one of the first to make it's blu-ray debut.

I'm dissappointed for this new cover. The colors are nice, but overall that cover doesn't work well. Aurora and Philip doesn't seem to get enough room there and they are strangely too much on the left. Too much going on everywhere...
I'd even prefer this cover I made some time ago.

when i was 15, on a trip to the countryside, i brought along my disney cassettes to listen to, one of them was the disneyland cassette of sleeping beauty. my uncle spotted this and laughed at me. i hate him ever since (along with several other reasons, like giving me a surprise jab, he's a doctor, a mean doctor).
do you still wait for me Dream Giver?

That's simply uncalled for, besides just being mean. It's ripped out of Tchaikovsky, for goodness sake.

It's just so that dumb people, like the guy on the playstation universe website that compared SB to Teletubies, know who they are. I think we'd all be surprised by the amount of people who don't know Ariel and Aurora's names.

Why does it matter wether Aurora wears a pink or blue dress in merchandising ? Beautiful people/characters look good in everything, rags included !

Well, I hate to say it, but as 'Enchanted Tales' has just been released and Aurora remains pink throughout, I doubt very much that she will appear in blue on the front cover.

Disney Duster wrote: I hope so with Prince Edward, too, his costume is awesome, I like it better than Phillip's! But...did you really find an adult Phillip costume you can wear?! That's totally awesomes!!!!!
It wasn't an adult costume, it was for kids. and I was still a kid basically so it worked! :D If they did make an adult Phillip costume (or Prince Edward) I would be the first to buy it.

I believe it was one of the earlier mockups for the US '03 release. Gorgeous. And OMG she's wearing blue.

I collected together all the covers I could find for Sleeping Beauty, both DVD and VHS versions. And people will be pleased to nte that she is wearing her Blue dress in most of them ! :P

I know Sleeping Beauty covers should have her sleeping in them, but I really love the one where Aurora is dancing with Prince Philip. It looks vibrant, and full of life. But notice that the composition of that VHS cover is simmilar to the Platinum Edition version of Cinderella; in both the Prince is more of the focus than the leading lady.

The R2 Collectors Edition cover is probably my favourite Sleeping Beauty cover out of all the ones I have seen.

the 1997 VHS is still my favourite followed by the black diamond VHS. I'm still wondering what the 1995 re-release poster looks like. aybe it would make a good cover.

Which poster is the 1995 re-release? There are so many posters floating around for Sleeping Beauty, I can't tell which is which!

It feels like Sleeping Beauty has been the one Disney movie that has been constantly released.

I think this cover is the best and i think they should this as the cover,or just show her asleep, with no Philip fighting Malificent (and the fairies are actually killed her,no Philip).
