Picked up Season Three today at Circuit City. It came with a wonderful bonus disc called "Desperately Dangerous: Visit With The Villains of Wisteria Lane" that runs 15 minutes and is a constant looping disc - which means it will play over and over again until you tell it to stop. I thought it was a great bonus to the six-disc set. I plan on watching all of Season Three in the next week, getting ready for the premier of Season Four.

Cool! They did this last year too. Always nice to have a lead-in to the next season (even if my slow-going review of S3 is serving the same purpose). I'll be DVRing this special.

From TVGuide.com's Fall Preview-Returning Shows guide:

http://www.tvguide.com/special/fallprev ... ing2a.aspx

Premiere: Sunday, September 30, 9 pm, ABC
Where we left off: Gabby (Eva Longoria) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) got hitched, Bree (Marcia Cross) faked a pregnancy, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) was tragically diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, and Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) hung herself from the rafters.
What's next: It's all about secrets: Lynette tries to hide her cancer from all her friends, and we find out that Bree has another reason to keep her daughter's real-life pregnancy hush-hush. Meanwhile, Gabby is forced into a steamy affair with Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) — again. As for the fate of Edie? Executive producer Marc Cherry will only say, "There will be some kind of involvement of Nicollette in the first episode. It's a surprise — so tune in." Tease. A few new faces move to Wisteria Lane: A family with a dark secret, and a gay couple with serious attitude. Ian (Dougray Scott) will not return to steal Susan's heart.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, it would appear that Edie may not survive, after all. My guess? She'll be the narrator for the 4th Season opener. That would really suck if she is truly dead. Edie has always been a favorite of mine.

Wisteria Lane wouldn't be the same without Mary Alice's narration! I really think Edie will be alive and well.

I can't wait to see what happens. It just sucks (well maybe not suck, but a little inconvenient) that'll I'll be away on vacation during premiere week and I'll miss all my favorite shows (including DH)! I have to wait 'til I return to catch up on my DVR.

I think you all might have misunderstood me. I don't mean that I believe Edie would be the narrator for all of season 4. Just the first episode of season 4. If you read the part of the quote that I've bolded, Marc Cherry mentions that Nicollette will have some sort of involvement in the FIRST episode, and that it'll be a surprise. If she were truly going to be alive, why would he only mention the first episode? I still stand by my prediction. She won't live, and she'll be the narrator of the first episode of the new season.

I hope I'm wrong, because I love the character of Edie.

:D I know this is a tad off topic as we are discussing Season 4. But I realized after reading the comment about how the seventh episode of each Season is a huge deal that the 7th episode of Season 5 will actually be Desperate Housewives 100th episode! :o

ITS GONNA BE HUGE!

I am really excited about Season 4 and can't wait to discover what happens- especially with Bree's fake prganancy since she is my favourite character, but whatever they do in episode 7 of this year you know will be nothing compared to the big 100th next year. :D

While i'm on the top of Bree I love how they have put in her promotional photo an image of her in front of a cradle with a broken leg. Fantastic symbolism. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Don't forget that the new season OFFICIALLY starts this Sunday with a NEW recap show of the first three seasons. I love these recaps because they always show scenes that were edited out of the original shows, and they are so entertaining.

I will make this Episode One of this Season Four of Desperate Housewives.

I know Rowlf doesn't approve of these recaps, but since they don't put them on the DVD release I think they are important to have in the collection. I am only missing one recap show from all of the first three seasons.

The new season officially starts on the 30th ... that's what the ads say ...

I never said I didn't like recap eps ... they are always entertaining ... I just dont include them in episode counts because they are specials ... not actual episodes ...

They never include new scenes not shown in the regular season ...

Just shows how much you watch these recaps. My DVR automatically records all new shows of each series and this one is listed as a NEW episode, even though it is a recap. The middle of the season recap in Season Three had five major scenes that were either recut or edited from the episodes. All of the recaps use different takes of some of the scenes, and take scenes out of context, and that is what makes them so watchable and collectible.

Watch this Sunday's episode and you will see. There will be three to five scenes not seen in any of the episodes from the first three seasons.

I don't count them as episodes, I count them as extras, and they make it so neat to rewatch after the season is over.

You watch what you want and I will watch what I want. DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES is the funniest, best written television show on the air today, and I would rather watch a rerun of DH than a new episode of many of the other shows on television.

I have no clue what re-caps you watch LOL ... but the ones I watch only re-cap what we have seen ...

The one last season titled "Juiciest Bites" did include a preview of the next few episodes ... I downloaded it on iTunes :)

And you just said ...
I don't count them as episodes, I count them as extras, and they make it so neat to rewatch after the season is over.
Yet you said a few posts back ...
I will make this Episode One of this Season Four of Desperate Housewives.
LOL ... that's kinda contradicting isn't it? LOL

Moving right along ... as my avatar and siggy show ... I am very excited about the new season ...

I have watched my season 3 dvd set ... I have seen all the bonus material ... So I am officially ready for season numero cuatro!

Sorta not on the season 4 topic ... but did anyone else totally love the "On the Set with Eva" bonus feature on the season 3 dvd set ???

After viewing that brief bonus feature ... I kinda want to be Eva's friend now ... She seems so cool and so much fun in person ...

I just have the last episode of Season 3 to watch, then I'm on to the bonus features! I've actually tried to watch the last episode the last two nights, but, I ended up falling asleep. Not because I was bored with it, but, because I was just so tired, that my eyes wouldn't stay open! So, tonight, I am making myself watch the finale, so that I can get to the bonus features tomorrow evening. I can't wait to watch them!

I'll also be tuning in to the recap episode, and I'll be all ready to go for Season 4!

I will count the RECAP as AN EPISODE, NOT EPISODE ONE, I misspoke that little detail. But I will stil count it as an episode of the series as I have all the other recaps.

If you pay close attention to these recaps, they do offer little insights - by way of dialogue, or little bits of recut scenes that offer hints of what is to come, or who did it. I don't know why people are so against recaps. As long as they don't give away too much I think they are very cool!!

Can't wait for the 30th and a whole new season on Wisteria Lane with our favorite ladies.
