What Movies are you going to watch this October?

The time is approaching. The time where kids, and adults alike get to be one and experience the magic of Halloween!!!

I love this time of the year!

As for me, I'll be watching these:

Halloweentown
Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge
Halloweentown High
Hocus Pocus

And if I can muster up enough courage, maybe I can gag my way through Return to Halloweentown.

So how will you be celebrating?

and I'll see if I can catch Hocus Pocus on Disney Channel or ABC Family. I really don't like Halloweentown 3 or Bewitched (the movie, I like the show), but I force myself to watch them. I'll also probaly watch some episodes of Charmed.

"Hocus Pocus" is my favorite Halloween movie, so I will be all over that. I'm also a big fan of "Something Wicked This Way Comes". I don't think any other of my favorites are Disney released...

Tradition in the family household at the Junkie's house is we bring the oldest grandkids down to the Home Theater and watch:

The Blob (1958) - Steve McQueen's first movie, and it is not a bad one.

Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein

The Munster's Revenge

Upstairs in the living room the younger grandkids will be watching:

Winnie the Pooh - Spooktacular

It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

And some selected Disney shorts including "Trick or Treat".

The nightmare before Christmas
Stop motion version, not the "improoved" Computer 3D-Version!

Sing along songs: Happy haunting
The ghosts and dusts are going to be very friendly in this season...

The haunted mansion
Widescreen version, this is the most ghostly version on DVD!

Non-Disney:

The Munsters 2nd season
Nice family, I like the dust in their rooms! They should be welcomed in the Haunted Mansion!

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
I will wait with Linus for the presents the Great Pumpkin give.

Sabrina, the teenage witch
The last episodes of the first season and the first of the second season. All this without the music and a few scenes with pop music of the nineteens. This awful and really horrible nightmare present comes from the music industry: Copyghostly law protection!

All in all a short list, but the t.v shows usually put on lot's of their Halloween episodes, so I'll watch those more than likely

I have a shelf that's just loaded with horror films (and a few horror action figures in front of them, like Tim Burton's horseman atop his horse with Ichabod standing in front of them). I've already started watching the stuff on that shelf, and I'm having to keep horror movies in other places too because the shelf is full now, ha.

Recently watched stuff like Christopher Lee Dracula films, Frankenstein's Bloody Terror, Halloween 3, Teen Wolf 1 and 2, Silver Bullet, and a few others. I'll explore the shelf some more from now through Halloween.

As for the much watch stuff, I always watch Hocus Pocus, one of my all time favorite films, on Halloween night. I usually finish it around dawn, which is pretty appropriate. Before that, I'll watch "The Worst Witch," with Fairuza Balk and Tim Curry, and also "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown." Before the day or on the day, I also try to watch the following: The Hallmark version of Sleepy Hallow, Garfield's Halloween, Mickey's House of Villains, Burton's Sleepy Hollow, the Ichabod half of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Transylvania 6-5000, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Haunted Mansion, Casper, the Casper direct to videos, Pooh Halloween videos, The Midnight Hour, Return to Oz, The Witches, Snow White: A Tale of terror, Harry Potter films, and several others. Most of that stuff I have on DVD, but a few I still only have on VHS, and some, like Midnight Hour, are only home tapings. Still, that one is a must see. I've got to replace my Addams Family movies with DVDs, because I don't really like to watch VHS much anymore.

I particularly love stuff that shows some Halloween tradition, which is why Hocus Pocus is such an awesome movie! It has trick or treating, broomstick riding witches, and everything!

Incidentally, I post horror films on my My Space page on a somewhat weekly basis to promote a comic strip character of mine who is also designed to be a horror host too. This week, we're showing "Horror Hotel" and "The Brain That Wouldn't Die." I'm hoping to dig up some classic Halloween specials that aren't sold in stores during the coming weeks. One fave of mine is "The Halloween That Almost Wasn't." I LOVED it as a kid and hadn't seen it in years until someone posted it on You Tube. Anyways, here are my pages:

nothing beats seeing THAT and pirates films on the big screen.
and in 3-D it's like you're riding a ride at disneyland.

I don't really think there's anything cheesy about Hocus Pocus. You must not have seen any REALLY cheesy movies yet. Even Haunted Mansion is only slightly cheesy, but Hocus Pocus really isn't.

I think I forgot to mention that I will probably watch a lot of the Universal Monsters films. I have the Frankenstein and Wolfman Legacy Collection DVDs (need the others), and TCM or AMC usually show them a lot too. Plus, one of my favorite films, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. I've got that one in one of their movie collections. I forget which volume it is (it's the only one I have so far, volume 3 or something).

probably Monsters, Inc. I never give out candy (no desire to sit at my door waiting for kids, some who are like 16 years old).

For some reason 'Jurassic Park' seems like a Halloween Movie to me.

Oh, and I probably will own MEET THE ROBINSONS by then, so I may watch that.

Well I doubt I will get much chance to get through much Hallowe'en viewing, but If I have time I'll probably get through the following

Disney
The Watcher in the Woods - A brilliant creepy movie
The Haunted Mansion - Only seen it once and it's remained unwatched since, so I suppose it deserves digging out
Mickey's House of Villains - I'll have to find it, It's not exactly been graced with multiple viewings since its purchase back in 2002, but I think i should dig it out after these years.
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad - Well the Sleepy Hollow bit at least

Non-Disney
If I decide to get the Roseanne Hallowe'en special DVD I'll watch that, or I may just trawl through the season sets and pick out the Hallowe'en episodes.
