Who's the Disney dvd and video voice guy?

Post by DDMAN26 »

Does anyone know what his name is? You always hear him in front of any dvd you get. Or is he just an enigma?

He's Michael Eisner himself. Didn't you know it? :D
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

That voice is most definitely not Eisner's, unless you're joking which in that case excuse me for my stupidity.

That voice sounds like the narrator of the Sleeping Beauty "making of" featurette, and if so, then his name is Brian Cummings. I wonder if he's related to voice actor Jim Cummings.

Well, in terms of previews and stuff, there's three general guys whose voices I hear:

1. Brian Cummings, who mostly does Disney, and can be heard in virtually every Disney trailer as well as some Disney featurettes like Sleeping Beauty. The alternate to Brian is Corey Burton, whose has done voice work for tons of Disney characters and has narrated the featurettes for Fun and Fancy Free, Peter Pan, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, among other things.

2. The guy who does the majority of film trailers. You actually see him in the trailer for Jerry Seinfeld's The Comedian where he basically mocks himself. I'm having trouble naming other trailers he's done at the moment, but I'll think of it.

3. A British man who's known best for doing the voice over work for the Harry Potter and Peter Pan trailers. Since both are British children's novels, I expect to hear him do voice over work for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe ad campaign.

Wow, it's really sad I'm familiar with the voice-over people... :D

Jim Cummings (voice of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Tazmanian Devil, numerous other characters) does extensive trailer work too, but I hardly ever hear him do Disney previews.

I have no idea that Jim Cummings does all those voices and also the coming soon and on DVD voice also.
That's awesome a man with a thousand voices.

Here's a link to what other voices Jim Cummings did.

Disney magazine mentioned another man in the Spring 2001 issue and included a picture.

That's probably because it was stated that Brian Cummings, not Jim (or Alan) does the trailer narration.
