Amy Grant - Heart in Motion (1991) - Original Recording Digitally Remastered (2007)
-Aaron

Close! I have 7 left (and then there are 3 more Christmas albums being re-released in October, along with a Greatest Hits album and her book!) I really am enjoying them. The improvement in clarity is incredible; there are rich layers of instrumentation and vocals that could never be heard before and even the stuff from the '70s sounds as good as the stuff from the 2000s, without betraying the original sound or quality.blackcauldron85 wrote:You're chugging right along, Aaron! How many are left- 6? I hope you're enjoying them!

Have you bought many of the 20th Century Masters CDs, Dave? I only have two, the Amy Grant Christmas one and the new Reba McEntire one. They seem like a cheap way of collecting good music, but I wonder how they compare, generally speaking, to officially released Greatest Hits albums.DaveWadding wrote:20th Century Masters: The Best of Kiss - Volume 2 - The Millenium Collection
I don't...this is my first one actually. They have some unique ones though. Like the one I bought is the only collection covering the entire 80s era of KISS. Generally speaking I compare before I buy Greatest Hits and they never seem to stack up, but this one hit the note.AwallaceUNC wrote:Have you bought many of the 20th Century Masters CDs, Dave? Interesting question, Amy. I'm still absorbing the new versions, but the improvement is remarkable on all of the albums. In particular, Amy's first two live albums (both from 1981) have taken on new life... the strength of her voice, the energy of the audience, and the sheer rock & roll of the music and the band had never really come through in this way before before. The second of these two albums has particularly risen in my book.blackcauldron85 wrote:Has your opinion on any of the albums changed now that you've heard the remastered versions? Like, is there an album that was not your favorite but now is...
I don't think there's any album as a whole that I like less now that it's been remastered. The song "The Power", however, sounded better in the unremastered form, in my opinion. The booming bass in that song had a very "fat" sound (hard to describe if you haven't heard it)... in the remastered edition, the song is overall clearer and louder, but the bass has lost that quality. The track is on House of Love (1994), but even in light of this, I still like the album all the more.blackcauldron85 wrote:or is there an album that you liked more before it was remastered?

Also, words cannot express how thankful I am for you for getting me into Amy's music. I can't wait for her new greatest hits album to be released later this year and will definitely be picking it up the day it hits stores.
I agree, Cameron- thanks for getting me into Drake's music, too!AwallaceUNC wrote: And, in return, I must again express my appreciation for you introducing me to Drake Bell's music. My drive down to Disney World with a friend this weekend featured It's Only Time in its entirety. -Aaron

I was in WDW this past weekend (for all of 17 hours, including time spent sleeping in the hotel).blackcauldron85 wrote:And, Aaron, did you mean this past weekend you went to WDW, or this weekend you're going to WDW?!?
