I don't remember where it talked about the platinum edition DVD'S. But I have heard that Mulan, Hercules, and Jungle Book are coming out on Platinum DVD sets next year. That is really neat that they are going to be releasing so many of the old disney classic animated movies on platinum.

I belive that you must have read something wrong someplace. There are not coming more then 1 platinum a year, and those you mentioned are not planed as I can see.
This serie are for the most populare classics thru Disney history, and none of the films you mentioned are anyplace near a top 10 list.

Actually, starting in 2005, they are going to release 2 Platinums a year: one in March, one in October. But as you brought out, Hercules and Mulan are not scheduled to be Platinums as far as I know, and Jungle Book isn't likely to be released next year.

No way Hercules is ever gonna be a platinum edition title... Nope.
I know that as of May 2003 Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Fantasia and Sleeping Beauty have been added and then someone mentioned Mulan as well but that's about it.
And The Jungle Book was a platinum title from the beginning.
I posted the "Mulan Platinum" news, but I also went to great pains to point out it probably didn't mean Platinum in the traditional sense, just a 2 disc set could be on the cards.
Disney are making lots of 2 disc releases that are not a platinum edition.
I would not be supriced if these two would come back in a two disc edition.
(sorry for making that mistake about Jungle book, I should have known better then that)

The first DVD releases of Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty had a decent amount of material for a platinum edition. Does this mean that DisneyDVD is looking for more bonus materials to add and bigger art galleries ?!
If not, I don't know if I would buy them again. If I do, it will probably just to complete my Platinum Editions Collection.

I've heard is getting another release in R4 this year...
But I don't have any info if this will be a different edition or just a reissue of the GC discs.
