He never said Snow White was flat...

Also, taking the throne can't really be counted as development, it's not like she was terribly conflicted from what we saw. She was sad, but it's not like she planned to run away or something. And because she doesn't get time in the spotlight, she is flat. She's almost a step backwards from someone like Cinderella, who had clearly defined wants, as opposed to Aurora, who as far as we can tell wants a guy who will sing pretty songs in a forest while she picks berries. I mean, the plot is essentially driven by the three fairies and Maleficent. Aurora and Phillip don't even speak after the first forty or so minutes.

Here's my favorites in chronological order:

1.Lady and the Tramp
2.Sleeping Beauty
3.101 Dalmatians
4.The Sword in the Stone
5. The Jungle Book
6.The Aristocats
7.Robin Hood
8.The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
9.The Rescuers
10.The Fox and the Hound

For the record, I like these movies not just for the animation, but for their music too. Especially "Battle With The Forces Of Evil " (Sleeping Beauty) and "To Arms " and "Escape From The Castle" (Robin Hood).

The Lion King:
everything scar

Aladdin:
Jafar's palace takeover

Tarzan:
Intro

Beauty and the Beast:
Just as a character: beast simply superb!

The Rescuers Down Under:
Everything Marahute

Lilo & Stitch:
The watercolors look so vivid!
When it comes to brains, I got the lion-share,
but when it comes to bruth strength, I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool

He said *and Snow White*.
that the Problem with Sleeping Beauty,it's all about the fairies they forgot about Aurora (and Malficenet is also "flat" if flat means no spotlight).
i never understanded that part with "the prince from once upon a dream", i understanded that she want's true love, but what the point with the prince?.

Yes, i did say *and Snow White* but i edited my post instantly and erased it. God!

And yes, even Maleficent is flatter than other Disney villains. Jafar and Ursula craved for power, the Wicked Queen and Lady Tremaine are jealous of the heroine, Gaston acts 'cause his ego and vanity were hurt , Frolo because of his racism and demented goal, Ratcliff for money and social status etc. I mean Maleficent is going to all this trouble just because she didn't get invited to a baby shower? Her motive seems so trivial. Despite that though she still works as a great villain due to her excellent character design and successful dialogue.

Oh,sorry,i didn't see that .
Then they are more flat then the other villains (for Maleficent) and Princess (for Aurora).
by the way-i think Ratcliff is also racism (he also calls Pocahontas and the Indian "Savanges").
well, same goes to Aurora (she's looking for true love and what's with that "prince from once upon a dream"?).

Yeah, Ratclif is also a racist but it's not racism that motivates him to be well, evil. It's his desire for money and power. There's a difference.

That's actually why I love Maleficent, simply because she's been stewing for 16 years about not getting an invite to a party. It's perhaps the lamest grudge in motion picture history, and I adore it. I would love to see one of her goons just shout "IT WAS A BABY SHOWER AND IT HAPPENED YEARS AGO! GET OVER IT!"

Then of course he would blasted into dust, but at least he could say what we're all thinking.
"Ta ta ta taaaa! Look at me... I'm a snowman! I'm gonna go stand on someone's lawn if I don't get something to do around here pretty soon!"
