After what seems like forever, I've finished my
Rocketeer ultimate DVD. I doubt they actually shot/kept enough vintage behind-the-scenes material to actually make this set happen, which is why I'm presenting it in two versions: the single-disc Realistic Cutdown (a.k.a. what Disney's more likely to do if they planned on releasing a live-action catalog movie that doesn't have the word "Pirates", "Narnia", or "Mary" in it.) and the four-disc Ultimate Edition (a.k.a. what I'm sure most fans of the movie would prefer).

Backstage Disney: (audio: 108 minutes, video: 70 minutes)

-
Looks Like A Hood Ornament: The Flight of The Rocketeer - this surprisingly longer featurette takes a look at a few key visual effects sequences in the film, analyzing the work and progress for each shot and comparing it to the final product. Again, with as little effort as possible to bring in interview participants, but done anyway so there's at least one or two new extra featurettes. (15 minutes)
-<strike>
Original Theatrical Trailer - 1991</strike> - like Disney will attach the trailer again. Hold on to the old non-anamorphic barebones DVD,
Rocketeer fans! It still has the trailer, albeit in worse video quality than the movie, and horribly pan&scammed!
Deleted Scenes: (10 minutes)
-
Deleted & Extended Scenes - only a short selection of deleted scenes, made simply to tout "NOW WITH DELETED SCENES!" on the cover, with no introductions or commentaries to help put place the scenes in context with the film. (6 minutes)

Outtakes Reel - general goofiness and flubs from the cast. (4 minutes)
Sneak Peeks:
