Hey, I've been waiting for it too! I always track down these buggers the first day they come out, lest they discontinue them quickly. Actually, amazon.com might be the way for me to go here.
And I loves me some "Clonus".

mystery Science Theater DVDs
Mystery Science Theater has always been somehwat of a mystery to me. I never knew what channel it came on, and it's like something from my past and my memories. It's like The Raisins or Dinasaurs. I remember people watching it or talking about it, and the aliens or robots didn't scare me, but definately didn't seem like characters I could or would want to?meet at a Disney park. They ain't no Muppets.
What's with it? When was it popular? What channel?
And they're on volume 12 already?1?! Wow, I guess it's selling well?
Flanger-Hanger, your "just me" comment was very funny.

I wouldn't say it ever had real mainstream popularity. You would have people who know the idea and might have caught it, but it was never that popular. It was and still is a cult show. It started out on a local channel in Minnesota, then was picked up by Comedy Central for seven seasons, then spent three more on SciFi.
Personally, I wouldn't mind meeting Servo, Crow or Gypsy in a theme park, maybe enjoying a movie with them.

I guess you never went to Coventionconexpofestarama, Disney Duster.
It had two coventions, a movie spinoff (released to just 26 screens in 1996) a book (The Amazing Colossal Episode Guide), a CD-ROM, but all those were really for fans which were'nt that wide spread but still plentiful (or else there would'nt have been 10 seasons).

Mystery Science Theater on DVD
Thank you all for telling me about this. No, I've never been to one of those conventions.
I must say, with so few fans, it's cool that it got all that stuff, even a CD-ROM! Thank goodness for few diehard fans of things.
But it's just whacky that a movie based on the show is not only shorter than the movie they're watching, but the average epsiode of the show it's based on!

But many times more entertaining. And yes, I do appreciate This Island Earth without the Bots and Mike...Escapay wrote:Which was shorter than the movie they were watching!Flanger-Hanger wrote:a movie spinoff (released to just 26 screens in 1996)
