I always wanted Dumbo to be one of the platinum editions but alas no. The Big Top Edition wasn't good enough!

Oh and Hercules definitely needs a good edition. I adore this movie. I find it to be extremely underrated! Zero To Hero is up there in my all time fave Disney songs.

I'm going to have to go with everyone else on the Hunchback and Hercules needing it. I would also really like to see The Rescuers get a better rerelease.

Next I know i'm beating a dead horse on this one, but i REALLY want Song of the South.

I know that a re-release is coming next year (?), but I don't care what anyone says, Pinocchio is in DRASTIC need of a re-release, and let me tell you, it better be a kick-@$$ Platinum Edition, because if it's not, I will be P.O.'d. I haven't been waiting almost 10 years for noithin'!

I also think Fantasia could use a re-release *cough*uncutversion*cough*.

This thread didn't specify live-action or animated. The Rocketeer deserves a better DVD release.

The Sword in the Stone, The Rescuers, The Rescuers Down Under, Hercules and The Hunchback of Notre Dame are all one that need upgrades in my opinion. Pretty much any of the Gold Collection DVDS I would say need to be upgraded, most of them have been by now which is great.

I think Hercules, The Nightmare before Christmas (3D), The Sword in the Stone, and The Black Cauldron need a special blu-ray disc release.

I would absolutely cry if Disney released a Special Edition of TBC only on Blu-Ray...They would HAVE to also put it on plain old DVD, too!!!

You know If you watched TBC on blu-ray you'd actually feel like youre right there in Prydain, I've got the whole HD home theatre experiance and the sights are so vivid and luminous, I actually get scared from horror movies that I wouldn't be normally be afraid to watch on DVD, I wonder what kids will feel when they see the horned king in HD !

Like most, I definitely think that Hercules and The Hunch Back of Notre Dame need special releases. Aren't they both somewhat box-office hits? Not to mention excellent movies? I'm sure they'd sell well.

Another movie I think needs a special release is The Black Cauldron...I like it heh.

I'm sure it'd look amazing, but I just don't have the $$$ for a Blu-Ray player and a new TV!

i hosnetly think that all the disney movies that were ever made should be a 2 disc dvd, they are all classics there is not one single disney movie that was made that doesnt deseve a 2 disc for the dvd or blu-ray, they are all made done very well, does any one here agree with me on this?

I'm worried that we may never see a Special Edition or 2-disc standard DVD again after all the PE's are released. Disney seems to be putting all their effort and 2-discers in Blu-ray. :(

In November's issue of Disney Adventures magazine, there's a Great Mouse Detective comic. I've seen the comics in Disney Adventures since January (when I started following the issues to get ones with the Lilo & Stitch comics) and none of those had a GMD comic. May not even mean a re-release DVD of the movie is coming but it made me curious. :)

I agree that Hercules and Hunchback deserve a special edition release for they are both sensational movies. I would also like to see:
Great Mouse Detective
Rescuers
Treasure Planet
Oliver and Company
Fantasia is coming out in 2009 as a Platinum Edition so I think that will be spectacular, and that must mean Fantasia 2000 will than get a re-release.

These also need a better DVD release:
Saludos Amigos
The Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music
Fun and Fancy Free
Melody Time
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
Robin Hood

Hercules, Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Black Cauldron, Great Mouse Detective......well anything that has been only released with 1 disc so far should be released as 2-disc special edition eventually IMO.

Pete's Dragon, if I haven't already mentioned it.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.
