I never once made a comment about her weight but I will admit to making that horrible joke about her chest. It was very immature and unfortunately sometimes my bad moods ooze onto message boards. I'm sorry that it offended you, agreeably it's offending me. I can't believe we've been discussing the making of this film for well over a year!

:( No I meant that in the past year it seems that not too much information has been said about the making of the film, that's all. We've been discussing it for a while and it would be interesting to hear the plans on whether this is for sure getting filmed.

ooh, i am soo sorry lol, i seriously thought you were dissing the movie,
well we probably don't get any info because its not being filmed yet, but i did read a rumor that it hasn't been confirmed to whom is going the leading role, miley or raven...just hearing it as a rumor this makes me mad, raven has been on disney for the longest time and no movies for her but they already have two for milry, i'm gonna be so pissed if it goes to miley

Unless they're really really re-imagining this movie and changing the story, I really cannot see Miley Cyrus in the lead role as Chris. She is definitely way too young for that part! I can't imagine her running around with a bunch of kids around a city.

I was at the grocery store a couple days ago, and I was looking through a magazine all about Miley, and it had a 2-page article on this movie. I didn't have time to read it, but it was in a magazine...so it's probably still on.

Today Raven Symone begins work on her upcoming film, Adventures In Baby Sitting.

It's not much news, but at least we know that the movie's still on.

Miley Cyrus has announced she’ll return for a few more episodes of her hit Disney cable show, “Hannah Montana,” and then she tackles another Disney project — a sequel to the Chicago-set 1987 comedy “Adventures in Babysitting.”

Fellow tween star Raven Symone will co-star in the sequel, currently titled “Further Adventures in Babysitting.” The movie is set for a 2010 release.

According to Variety, Tiffany Paulsen (“Nancy drew”) is writing the script.

The original “Adventures” starred Elisabeth Shue as a suburban Chicago high school senior whose dull night of babysitting is interrupted by a call for help from a friend. Madcap misadventures ensue. (Our favorite bit part: a young Vincent D'Onofrio as “Thor.”)

Though the film was set in Oak Park and Chicago, much of the filming was done in Toronto.

Not much new news, but the article says that it's a sequel, not a remake...

Oh, don't get me started.
Agreed. I don't like the idea of this movie, but Raven isn't fat. She's healthy! Least she looks like she has three meals a day and keeps it all in her stomach!

So, I went to Wikipedia's page for I guess the original movie (I've been all over Wikipedia today :p), and it had a link to this article, which mentions this:

http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles ... tory.jhtml
Along those same lines, Miley shot down the rumor that she was starring in a reimagining of the silly, lighthearted '80s classic "Adventures in Babysitting." "I'm not in that movie either," she laughed. "I guess I get secretly cast in a lot of things."
That article is from April 1, 2009- I don't know how we missed that. I wonder if we'll hear about a release date anytime soon. I mean, I had read that Raven had started filming it, and we haven't heard that it got canceled, and surely they wouldn't never release it, right?

Wikipedia deleted its page for it, though:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia: ... abysitting

But this article mentions a couple writers who aren't the lady previously mentioned to be writing the script:
http://www.variety.com/article/VR111801 ... =1236&cs=1
Liz Hackett & Hillary Gallanoy (also writing the pic "Further Adventures in Babysitting")
I just wish we knew what was going on with this movie!

Remake? Sounds more like a sequel.
