They were both released here in Sweden last month!
So at least ours were not delayed or rescheduled!
It's also coming to Germany, too. Pluto 1 was already on June 7. Donald 2 is coming in October.

(Shakes fist) Damn you and your Scandanavian DVD released-ness!!! :D

That's even more encouraging that there'll be an eventual UK release (and elsewhere) if it's already actually happened somewhere.

Buena Vista Home Entertainment have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Pixar Short Films Collection: Volume 1 on 8th October 2007. Animated Shorts have always been an essential part of Pixar’s creative output, with the likes of Boundin’ and Jack-Jack Attack huge hits in their own right. Now, for the first time ever comes the chance to own thirteen of the best Pixar Shorts on one DVD or Blu-ray disc, including Lifted the unique and hilarious Short from the forthcoming Disney/Pixar cinema release, Ratatouille.

The pioneering Shorts are among the most creative works to come from the Pixar stable, bringing together comedy, unique characters and outstanding animation to impressive effect. The formidable collection includes: Boundin’; One Man Band; Lifted; Jack-Jack Attack and Knick Knack and the Academy® Award-winning For the Birds and Geri’s Game, providing a winning combination from some of the world’s most talented and acclaimed film-makers.

Pixar fans will already own some of these shorts through the DVD releases of Pixar movies, but this collection not only boasts some exclusive shorts but also some exclusive never-before-seen bonus material that includes a look into the Shorts’ first-class animation as well as interviews with John Lasseter and other Pixar directors, revealing some of the best-kept secrets behind the favourite Disney/Pixar films and Shorts. There is also an Audio Commentary with director’s insights into the Shorts as well as Animation and Commercial test for fans to enjoy.

Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 1
Lifted (2007) A bumbling young alien student from a distant world tests the patience of an increasingly weary instructor as he attempts a first-time abduction of a innocently slumbering farmer (nominated for Oscar® 2007)

Mater and the Ghost Light (2006) Stars Mater, the rusty but trusty tow truck from Cars and tells the story of the Ghostlight - a mysterious blue light that haunts the town of Radiator Springs and its residents

One Man Band (2006) Tells the tale of a peasant girl who encounters two competing street performers who'd prefer the coin find its way into their tip jars. As the two one-man bands' rivalry crescendos, the two overly eager musicians vie to win the little girl's attention (nominated for Oscar® 2006)

Jack-Jack Attack (2005) Baby Jack-Jack is thought to be normal, not having any super-powers like his parents (The Incredibles’ Mr. and Mrs. Parr) or siblings. But when an outsider is hired to watch him, Jack-Jack shows his true potential

Boundin’ (2004) A sheep proudly danced in his lush wool until he had his first sheering which left him humiliated until a jackalope passes by and shows the forlornly shorn sheep woolly or not, its what’s inside that will make him rebound from life’s troubles (nominated for an Oscar® 2004)

Mike’s New Car (2002) Mike is obsessed with his new six-wheel drive car, and insists on showing it off to his pal Sulley. Unfortunately for Mike, everything that can go wrong does go wrong, and in the end Mike and Sulley are left with only their own two feet for transportation (nominated for Oscar® 2003)

For the Birds (2001) A group of small birds perch together on a telephone wire. When a much larger and awkward-looking bird arrives, the smaller birds reject him with taunts and insults - the smaller birds decide to shove him from their perch and then discover that there may be a problem with this plan (won Oscar® 2002)

Geri’s Game (1997) The title character, Geri plays a game of chess against himself, 'becoming' each of the players in turn by moving to the other side of the chessboard and taking his glasses on and off. As the game progresses, it seems as though there are two people playing – one on the edge of victory and one on the verge of losing (won Oscar® 1998)

Knick Knack (1989) A snowglobe snowman wants to join the other travel souvenirs in a hot party, but the glass dome that surrounds him gets in his way, despite all his efforts

Tin Toy (1988) When a wind-up one-man band toy looks up and sees just how boisterous, big, and destructive a baby can be, he does everything he can to flee. But when the baby falls down and gets hurt, the tin toy has to decide on survival, or doing what a toy's got to do (won Oscar® 1989)

Red’s Dream (1987) With a sale tag hanging from his seat, propped up in the corner of a bicycle store on a rainy night, Red the unicycle dreams about a better place

Luxo Jr. (1986) A larger lamp watches while a smaller, younger lamp plays exuberantly with a ball but doesn't quite manage to pick up the knack of handling it himself (nominated for Oscar® 1987)

The Adventures of Andre & Wally B (1984) André is awakened in a forest by a pesky bee named Wally B. When André points in a different direction, the bee looks away and André gets his chance to run away. Wally chases André and eventually catches him, reappearing with a bent stinger.

Bonus Features

Audio commentary
Behind-the-scenes documentary – Pixar directors discuss the evolution of the Pixar Animation studio and reveal some insider secrets
Animation tests
Commercial tests
I'll certainly be getting this, looks great

Just thought I'd inform that the BBFC have classified trailers for special editions of The Aristocats and 101 Dalmatians. They have also classified a trailer for the Pixar shorts collection, which is interestingly labelled volume 1.

Twin-Packs of old and new films when a new film sequel comes out? Ha, that's yesterday's news.

Behold the triple-pack and worship it, for it is good. It's good isn't it? Isn't it good?

Me too! I'll probably buy that gift set. I have all previous Platinums (except SW), but I never bought the gift sets - so this will be my first. :D

Hopefully they're changing the blu-ray covers, just to have a smaller blu-ray logo.

Going by what the BBFC have been passing it looks as if 'The Golden Girls: Season 4' may be on its way.

Also HMV has a 7 disc exclusive set of Ugly Betty
http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProd ... sku=696685

It doesn't look like the bonus disc is anything to get excited about though.

Well it looks like all of Season 4 of 'The Golden Girls' and Season 4 of 'Home Improvement have gone through the BBFC.

Season 2 of the Muppet Show is also currently going through.

Then these two have been re-passed proabably for the upcoming SEs, although bizarrely there's no mention of whether they are full frame or widescreen.
THE ARISTOCATS Video Feature
Run Time 75m 33s

THE JUNGLE BOOK Video Feature
Run Time 75m 17s
The strangely there's this
THE GREAT LOCOMOTIVE CHASE Video Feature
Run Time 84m 0s
Full Frame
Why they'd release it again full frame is anyone's guess.

Then there's the contents of the Pixar shorts DVD

00:04:58:19 LIFTED
00:02:07:20 LUXO JR
00:07:06:19 MATER AND THE GHOST LIGHT
00:04:30:17 ONE MAN BAND
00:04:09:15 RED'S DREAM
00:05:06:04 TIN TOY
00:04:39:19 BOUNDIN'
00:03:21:07 FOR THE BIRDS
00:04:49:10 GERI'S GAME
00:04:42:11 JACK-JACK ATTACK
00:03:34:03 KNICK KNACK
00:03:45:20 MIKE'S NEW CAR
00:01:49:02 THE ADVENTURES OF ANDRE & WALLY B.
And most interesting of the lot (well as far as I'm concerned...

The entire first season of Zorro has been passed.
