the picture of the actor is not showing up, and as for Alyson playing Ariel I don't think her smile is big enough, although I am a huge buffy fan and have every season on dvd, I just don't think they would fit the part.

Lise Simms as Prudence from the Cinderella sequels. Unfortunately, there aren't enough pictures of Lise on the internet for me to make a collage.
Edit //
I've mentioned this before, but Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have Prudence's facial expressions, hands, and hand gestures. Of course, they are too young for the part. Furthermore, they lack her height, frame, and so forth. Still, the similarities are surprisingly notable. I didn't notice until one fine day when I used a Mary-Kate avatar and a Prudence signature at the same moment, but it's almost eerie.

That's hot.
Well, to be honest, each and every actor shown has not been perfect. Forehead, chin, eyes, nose, etc. So lets stop with the nit-pickiness. You created this thread for people to post who they like as a Disney character, not to break down why they are wrong for the parts. Glen Close wasn't as skinny and her neck wasn't quite as long, as Cruella DeVil and yet she played her to a T. My feelings still stand that she looks like Ariel. I agree! She looks like a perfect pick for Ariel...except her voice isn't the strongest...hence why i couldn't watch the Buffy musical episode xDSiren wrote:Well, to be honest, each and every actor shown has not been perfect. Actually she only "sang" one short line. "I think this line is mostly filler" was the line she sang, and she pretty well spoke it to a tune. She specifically requested NOT to sing. She did 1 or 2 more lines in "I've Got a Theory", but again, more speaking to a tune than singing. She felt or she did not have a good singing voice so she requested not to be forced to sing. Everyone else had some fantastic voices. Giles and Spike I knew did because they have their own record deals outside of Buffy.PeterPanfan wrote:

looking at this whole concept
Well, should Disney decide, some day, to make extensive "live action" versions of their animated princesses (Beyond recordings of the Ice Capades shows and the "R&H Cinderella" starring Brandy), there are several options:
1. Performance capturea live action actor, design a slightly modified version of a given prince or princess in 3D, and map the actor motions to the 3D character. Do the same for the other characters or animate them from scratch and fuse them together into a production. This was used for FF4 RISE OF SILVER SURFER, LOTH (Peter Jackson version), KING KONG, any number of video games, and other productions).
2. Use special software (similar to that used on WAKING LIFE or THROUGH A SCANNER DARKLY ) to convert original video footage into an animated cartoon-looking production.
3. Move one of the park's or cruise line shows into a studio, shoot the characters against sets or green screen, then use those elements and new virtual sets to make those stories into something sell-able on DVD
4. Use the original character designs and make new stories around them.
We already know #4 is dead (Lassetter killed that approach because the stories and production values were cheeeeeeep.). That leaves 1 - 3, or another idea I've missed.

I don't know Jasmine, I don't know. We are supposed to hate Frollo so much, and how can you hate Snape? Besides, Frollo's supposed to not be sexy at all. Although then Esmeralda wouldn't care as much if she had to be his.Jasmine1022 wrote:

Well, I don't want to replace anyone, but it's good to get some feedback, thanks. If you have any ideas for Emma that I haven't already used or lined-up, I'd love to hear 'em. On my art page, I mention some other girls I've got lined up for other parts. One I didn't mention is Jessica Alba for the mechanic girl from Atlantis (forget her name because I'm not a big fan of that one; it's like the only Disney feature animation I didn't like much).UncleEd wrote:Slave2Moonlight - I think Emma Wattson would be better for Cinderella than Hillary Duff since you asked where you could fit Emma in. She looks a lot like the original Cinderella voice actress too. I don't know if you want to replace anyone but there ya go.
As for some other stuff mentioned here before, I can't imagine Allyson Hannigan for Ariel, but I do think there have been some cool Frollos suggested, especially Christopher Lee. Also like Debbie Reynolds as the Fairy Godmother.

Audrey Ramirez is her name! And, I think that Jessica Alba would be a great Audrey!!! That's a great pick, slave2moonlight!slave2moonlight wrote:On my art page, I mention some other girls I've got lined up for other parts. I'll try to think of someone that Emma can be...!
