A Disney Princess T.V. Series ???
ACK! I knew I was forgetting someone lol. Thanks Leonia for correcting me. Poor Princess Jasmine, she always seems to go a bit underrated and forgotten, I do like her though. Anyways fixed it heh

I'm on the fence about this, it could work if they did it right. However, with all the Princess Enchanted Stories dvd's being put out it seems a tad much to me. The main problem I have with this, is that the stories and plots might end up being a bit lame after a while. I think it would be hard to do new Jasmine storys because of the Aladdin Series and same for Ariel.

Not entirely. That failed series was used for CINDERELLA II, which sold fabulously well despite generally bad reviews.Super Aurora wrote:That won't happen since the first attempt on it failed.Prudence wrote:I truly wouldn't mind a Cinderella series, if it was at least above average in my book.
But as Lasseter has decreed, for now, Disney sequels are DOA, I can't see anything happening in this area, other than games.
Also, there is one huge problem wrt the Princesses. The Princess merchandising rule has been they live in separate worlds and _not_ interact. . There have only been three exceptions: Disneys' A Christmas Enchantment, and Disney Princess Gameworld, and HOUSE OF MOUSE. Even in these, the Princesses only exist in the same space - they don't talk or interact with each other (In HOUSE OF MOUSE, though, the VILLAINS interact !!).

Like so many before me, I have to say that I too fear for the future of 2d animation, were it not for the occasional miyazaki film all would have been lost.

nope, princess dvds are a go. vol 2, starring mulan and cinderella, is out in february.toonaspie wrote:4. John Lassetor wouldve already pulled the plug on it given that the reign of sequel terror has been declared over (princess dvds included) I also do not believe that he wouldve allowed for this show to even exist (less confirm a season 3)

Surprisingly enough, that appears to be true per a post elsewhere on the forum.Fantasmic wrote: nope, princess dvds are a go. vol 2, starring mulan and cinderella, is out in february.
Hopefully the shows will be well made, like some of the better sequels such as Bambi II and Cinderella III.
