I don't really care much for Lil' Mama but the addition she adds to this song isn't much or maybe its the opposite and Avril's the downside, but it sounds like two different songs that keep switching, but that's just me.

I agree with Papibear about Avril needing to lose those raccoon eyes. It just looks.....stupid. I also agree with blackcauldron, I found it hard to understand Lil Mama half the time, so she kind of annoyed me. I also see what SpellWovenNight means about it sounding like two different songs, it just needed a bit more flow or maybe a bridge so it didn't seem like two different songs.

Rihanna- Shut Up and Drive- NEW Music Video

Post by James »

Here's a link to the new music video for Rihanna-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na7mZFxs ... er&search=
Despite at first not liking it, it grew on me, after getting back that horrible haircut in the beginning as the sexy mechanic. After that part, when it moved onto the drag race, it got better. She's really rocking out now, I like this new style. Thoughts?

Yeah, the more I watch it the more I like it too. Still hate the beginning bit though, she looks horrible, in my opinion. And my favourite song I really can't decide between anymore. It's a tie between all the singles and like 3 others from A Girl Like Me. Have you bought the Good Girl Gone Bad album yet? I might on the weekend, it debuted at 6 on the Australian charts, and at 2 on the US Billboard Charts. Oh and I heard the Lil Mama remix of Umbrella, it's horrible, but I hope that a clip is made of it, that means more Rihanna clips. I hope they do, ala the Girlfriend Remix. It'd be stupid not to, I mean she's been number 1 for three weeks or something, and for many more too I bet.

I haven't bought it yet, but it's on my (extensive) list of CDs to buy...long story short, I used to buy CDs and make copies, and sell the original copy...and I wish I hadn't, so I'm trying to buy back some CDs that I sold...
Maybe for Christmas I can get most of them...

I really like Rihanna's new CD, but I guess I'm not a big fan of her singles. I was really annoyed by "Umbrella", and I don't like this being her next single. I really like most of the other songs on the CD though.

Yeah, I've found too that the singles aren't as good as the other songs. Shut Up and Drive and Umbrella are both good, but there are definitely better Rihanna songs out there. I hope that better singles are released in the future. Apparently Breakin' Dishes and Don't Stop The Music will be future singles. Are they good choices?

I love "Don't Stop The Music" and I think "Breakin' Dishes" is pretty good too! They will make good singles.

Oh okay cool. Are they rock tracks or RnB? Coz as much as I like the new rock sound, I prefer the old rnb stylings.

Hey guys, this song has peaked so far on the Billboard Chart at no. 39, so keep buying it to make it more of a hit. Shut Up and Drive samples the New Order song Blue Monday. The next single is most likely going to be Don't Stop The Music, which she has already made a clip for. DSTM, samples Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', and this is a quote that you won't find anywhere else, since it was on Australian radio and will only found here. It's about her upcoming clips. The interviewer asked her if she's made any clips since Shut Up and Drive and she said this-
"...actually, in fact, we did this one, we did it the day after we shot Shut Up and Drive, but it was like just a fun video, it was just being in a club, it's for Don't Stop The Music, and it's not like a high budget video or anything, it's just you know, a video me and the girls in a club having fun. But we're about to shoot another video, but I can't say for which song yet."
I bet you anything it's for Hate That I Love You with Ne*Yo, that song will be a major hit, I've heard it, and it's really good. I hope it's for that. If not that, then Breakin' Dishes or Push Up On Me which I've heard as well. But she needs to release HTILY, it just begs for a video to be made of it. So anyway, there you go, some exclusive Rihanna info there, for anyone that cares for it. Oh, and in other news, Umbrella has topped the UK Charts for 7 weeks, equalling the Spice Girls Wannabe, back in 96. If it stays their for just one more week, it was surpass Wannabe and become more successful than it. I don't want that to happen, I love Rihanna, but the Spice Girls should remain there, at the top, as a record holder, in my opinion.

I still need to get it, I'm hoping that I get a job soon so I can buy it. But then again, Rihanna is really popular, so they'll most likely re-release it around Xmas or something with a bonus DVD with the clips off it on it, or something. Or maybe they won't and I'll just have to buy it.

Hey there guys, here's some info about Nicole's first official single-
"Whatever U Like" is the first single of Nicole Scherzinger (of The Pussycat Dolls) from her debut solo album Her Name Is Nicole.... The song features rapper T.I.. The single is to be sent to radio stations in North America and Europe in July 2007. The song leaked to the internet Thursday, July 5th. The song uses the same composition, and has the exact same beat as Chilli's song "Straight Jack" featuring Missy Elliott, but it was scrapped by Chilli. Polow Da Don then offered the beat to Nicole, she accepted. It also holds similarities to Kelis' "Blindfold Me". Both of these songs were produced by Polow Da Don.
Here's a link to it- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAXxRRCeUNs
I like it, but I was expecting something more. I still like Steam too. Hope the clip is good, can't wait for it. Should be filmed soon. Thoughts?

It's.......different. My brain doesn't want to function on high levels today so I'm not sure what to make of the song. I only understood the odd word here and there, and that noise in the background the whole time was irritating in a way (much like Akon in Gwen Stefani's Sweet Escape). The song might grow on me after a few more listens later on.

Yeah, I agree, I can't really understand her either and that background noise does irritate a bit. The song sounds a bit like Fergie's London Bridge. Funny that, since its produced by the same person. Here's the single cover-

Hey there guys, just letting everyone know that Hot will be her next single, and she will soon shoot a video for it. Here's the cover- Image and here's the quote from wikipedia.org-
"Hot" is the upcoming third single from Avril Lavigne's third album The Best Damn Thing and is produced by Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald. In an interview with a U.S. news station, Lavigne stated that she plans to shoot a video to the song. The genre of the song is described like a "ballad punk" or better described like punk-pop, it has changes of agreed tipicalls of the punk-pop music, and the drums also follows the "wave" punk-pop. She performed the song on the 6th July episode of The Friday Night Project.

UK will release the single but no specific date yet.

Rihanna-Dont Stop The Music-NEW music video-samples MJackson

Post by James »

Hey guys, got another music video for you, after a long time without one. It's for Rihanna's new one, Don't Stop The Music, her third hit single off Good Girl Gone Bad. She shot it in Prague, one day after doing the Shut Up and Drive clip, as I already said in the Shut Up and Drive video thread. But considering no one read it, I've just said it again. Notably, her hair isn't as short as it was, as she's wearing hair extensions. Her single after that is rumoured to be one of her two recent duets. It is expected to be the Nicole Scherzinger duet, Winning Women, also written for the Secret Deodorant brand, and doubling as Nicole's second single, after her first song Whatever U Like, which is being shot today, cocidentally. Following that will be her high profile duet with the hitmker Ne*Yo, which should be yet another hit. Anyway, here's the link- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA22gKGi ... ed&search=
I personally friggin' love the song, and the clip accompanies it fantastically. It's not that high budget, but it's still great. Check it out, I hope it's an instant hit!
Enjoy! :)

This song is freakin' fantastic, everyone should hear this. It really samples Gonna Be Starting Something by Micheal Jackson fantastically. I can't get it out of my head, it's her best song yet, I love Rihanna! Mamasayamamasamamacusa!
