I could tell you that it's a really late April Fools Joke, but I'd be lying:bennyb98 wrote:Please, PLEASE, Please tell me that this is some really late April Fools Joke...rs_milo_whatever wrote:hannah montana is getting a theatrically released movie

she revealed to MTV News over the weekend that a "Hannah Montana" movie is making its way to the big screen. "My new solo album just came out — it was #1 this week, and hopefully it'll be #1 next week," Miley said. "Now we're trying to work on putting the movie together."
...
"And yes, it's for the theaters"
...
"My dad is the producer, which I'm really excited about," she added. "He's never done anything like this before, but my dad is ready to take on new challenges."
...
"There'll be a lot of similarities [to the show], and the fact that Miley is so real, her music is real, we'll keep a lot of that realism," Billy Ray revealed. "But I think we'll go a little further with the comedy. And it's going to be on the big screen, so we'll try to make everything look bigger."

They said it was called Wizards of Waverly Place. And, as I read it again, it doesn't necessarily say that it is a movie. It could be a show, but that fact that it is to premiere in October tells me it could be a movie.
The article says:
"I asked that they keep her edgy," says star Selena Gomez (though she's talking more Avril Lavigne's fashion-sense "edgy" than Lindsay Lohan's clubbing habits "edgy").
As I said earlier, Gomez was the original star of the Lizzie McGuire spin-off that never came to be.
Oh, and on a side-note, the fact that there will be a Hannah Montana theatrical film makes me want to vomit. Possibly even more than the Bratz movie.

Darn I thought it was going to Lalaine as the main character! I wish she did a little more with Disney.
I love the idea of a Hannah Montana movie, it's sad because my friends and I are all 24 and we love the show, I think even my husband does though he would NEVER admit it!!!!

I've heard alot of rumors about a Halloweentown: She's the Witch! movie. It's kinda over-over kill, but I thought that Halloweentown 4 wasn't half-bad. This movie is supposdly airing October 2008. I've also heard about Zenon Z4 and Twitches Too!, also. I would like to see a Twitches Too! to tell the truth. Also, about this Wizards of Waverly Place, it sounds an awful lot like Hamershave Hall which was supposed to star Aly and AJ.

I think Disney should have stopped with the Halloweentown sequels when they couldn't get Kimberly J Brown back, that kinda ruined it. Sara Paxton ruined the movie for me. I don't plan on buying the DVD of Return to Halloweentown, instead I'll just stick happily with my DVD's of the first three films.
Zenon: Z3 was also not very good. They relied waaaaay too much of visual effects, which were embarrassingly bad.
I never really watched Twitches, so I could care less about a sequel to that.
And, in my honest opinion, the Cheetah Girls were horrible enough with the first film. Going on to more was just nonsense.
But, don't let this make you think I believe all DCOMS are bad (although most all of the recent ones are), I actually enjoy quite a few of them. I hope that with the success of the DCOMs being released on DVD gives them the idea to release Don't Look Under the Bed (one of my favorites). And where is that Even Stevens DVD that was talked about?
Oh well...
