I remember that I taped it about 10 years ago, but I don't know what happened to it. I might have taped over it for all I know.
It was a good special, with some animation I never knew of. I remember the "Night on Bald Mountain" segment from Fantasia at the very beginning, & I always thought that would have been better at the end. There was some scene with a cat & a rat, kinda like the fight between Tramp & the rat in Lady & the Tramp, but at the end the cat turns into a black cat & scares this old woman, or something, I can't recall. I don't remember where that scene is from & I don't think I'll ever find out. I remember the Donald Duck cartoon Trick or Treat & I believe The Skeleton Dance was in it, too.
I remember some of the lyrics to the song at the beginning, too. Something about "...black cats, bats, & ghosts...they make such haunted hosts..." or something like that. The host I believe was the Magic Mirror & he talked about some of the various Disney villians & such. Good special, overall.

I remember Disney's Halloween Treat. It was great. I would pay up to 100 bucks for a copy of the 90 minute "A Disney Channel Christmas" special from the early 80's on DVD-R. They used to always show it at Christmas but not for the last 15 years. If anybody has it you'll be paid greatly for it. Let me know. Thanks
I have this on tape as well. I taped it about ten years ago. I ran out of tape right at the end...but I love this special. You can find the Magic Mirror part elsewhere, though. It's on my copy of "Sword in the Stone"...except it's a little different. There's he's mostly talking about magic. The part that was on Disney's Halloween Treat was taken from "Our Unsung Villains"...a "Walt Disney Presents" special. Hans Conried, the voice of Captain James Hook, performs as the Magic Mirror.
"Prove yourself brave, truthful, and unselfish, and someday you will be a real boy."

As far as I remember, that would be "Pluto's Judgement Day". Great cartoon, though.Lazario wrote:Wasn't there also a short with Pluto the dog and a cat and in Pluto's dream, he goes on trial for some kind of cruelty to the cat and the jury are all cats who look exactly the same?
I even seem to remember this quote:
"G-U-I, L-T-Y! Guilty! Guilty! Guilty! HOO-RAAAAY!"

Both Disney's Halloween Treat and A Disney Halloween arried in the 1980's, Disney's Halloween Treat arried a few times after 1982, while A Disney Halloween only arried once back in 1983. Disney's Halloween Treat arried in the early to mid 90's before they stoped showing it.There are 2 versions of Disney's Halloween Treat. They recut it in the 90's with the talking pumpkin puppet and changed a few things from the original version.
