Rumors about wild hotel party following Snow White's success

I can't find the link, but I read a while ago that after the success of Snow White, Walt decided to reward his staff by give them a weekend at a hotel or something, where they could party and have fun. The whole thing turned out to be some sort of sex orgy. Walt was shocked, and it was never mentioned again.
Anyone else who have heard anything about this?

I believe that's true, but a lot of other things happened during that weekend. I read it in a Walt Disney biography by Neal Gabler.

I heard of it, it was metion in Neal Garbler's book on Walt Disney, you can find towards the end of Chap. 6, "Disney Folly", the animatiors not only celbrated Snow White's success but also got wrapped up in the moment, drinking, chasing women around, etc. It did bothered Walt 80% because he thought his boys (animators) would be too cocky for the next picture, Pinocchio

So,

1). His name was Neal Garber
2). Bothered doesn't go well with that sentence,it should be bother.

Again,I'm not trying to be mean but spelling mistakes really get on my nerves,LOL.

So, it looks like it is true then. Not the kind of thing that pops up in my mind when I'm thinking about Disney. Obviously his staff had a lot of steam that needed some release after all the hard work.

I still don't quite get why this is oh so amazingly shocking. They're only people and I don't wanna know what happens at other wrap-up parties.
They were young people, who had worked hard for many months, and maybe it wasn't as bad as it has been described.
I haven't read the biography, but to me it seems a bit exaggerated.

The biography really just glossed over the incident. But, you're right that they were just really people. The Disney image may be clean-cut, but that doesn't mean that people who work at Disney are. Heck, even Walt Disney wasn't even that clean-cut! I mean could you imagine working on an 80 minute feature cartoon that was almost the first animated feature, feeling uncertain if it would flop or not, and then become a hit! That would have been amazing! I'm not saying that what they did was right, I'm just saying there's no reason to be that shocked about it.

Oh, so the bio was whitewashing the story? I thought it was the other way round. That the biography had made it bigger than it actually was. Got something wrong there.
You're absolutely right. There's not much to be shocked about. Working for Disney doesn't necessarily mean you have to behave like a saint, and act as if there wasn't anything bad or sexy in the world.
Maybe it's a bit unusual and Walt hadn't expected it, but it's not so shocking. S*** happens.
