Big Brother 8 (US) Discussion

Post by Ting Ting »

Tomorrow (July 5, 2007) is a wonderful day for fans of trashy reality shows! Big Brother will be starting up again for its eighth season and the hype is bigger than ever!

This year, CBS has two major twists in store, including (highlight) the HouseGuests rooming with former enemies and an exciting new concept called America's Player. You can read about both here.

All I know is that I'm going to miss Will and Janelle. :(

Am I the only one who's excited?
I sure hope not!

Oh, please. Flavor of Love was a trashy reality show. Big Brother is just crap.

No offense. It's just, there's glorious trash. And then there's just garbage trash.

Anyway, that spoiler in white... isn't actually a spoiler. Is it? Don't the commercials tell you that?

Yes, but there are a lot of fans on various Big Brother fan pages that are complaining because they didn't want to hear the new twist until the show started. I figured I should probably just put it in white here, as well, just in case there are a few of those fans here at UD.

They consider that a twist? And here I thought it was just lame...

So, probably no one in here will believe this, but I know two of the people on this season of Big Brother. They are two enemies (they used to be in a relationship) named Dustin and Joe. My best friend from High School moved to Chicago for college, and he is/was friends with both of them. I met them both, and partied with them. I met Joe this past Christmas at a party, and met Dustin the year before at my friends birthday party. Anyway it should be pretty interesting to watch, I still think its strange that I've hung out with these reality stars to be.

I can't wait for Big Brother to start. Most of my family always ends up watching it together so we have a lot of Big Brother partys. I hope this season has a good group of people.

I am actually looking forward to this year. At the beggining of every season, however, it always takes me some time to adjust to the new houseguests. It should be especially hard this time around after having Janelle, the most interesting player by far (Will is second) for two great seasons.

But I eventually decide who I like and dislike and quickly get into the show.

That's cool Simba3! We'll see how they do on the show!

Not sure if this was posted here yet or not but here's the official site, with pics of the new houseguests.

Just beware of spoilers, I haven't read anything there but it probably gives away any spoilers for the first episode.

Big Brother is the highlight of my summer, I love this show. But, I don't know if me knowing two of the castmembers this season makes it better or worse. I mean, its kinda cool, in a really strange way, but at the same time I'm afraid I won't get the same Big Brother experience now because I will constantly be paying more attention to two whom I've met before.

Yay! BB8 is coming ... This is my favorite summer escapism show ... I was a huge Janelle fan ... and I hope this season doesn't disappoint ...

I don't know if anyone has seen pics of the house ... but it has a very Alice in Wonderland feel to it ... Alice in Wonderland is the theme of the house ... and it looks so beautiful ... so whimsical ...

I hope this year is good ...

I know I will be bloggin about it on myspace ... and chatting about it on here ...

For all those spoiler lovers ... you can check out my favorite companion site to BB ... http://www.mortystv.com/big_brother.shtml ... pretty much if you are cheap ... (like me) ... and don't want to get the live feeds ... Morty's gives you updates on all the backstabbing around the house ... and you can read about stuff that they will most likely never air on tv ... like last year's frank sex talk in the HoH room ... now that was a youtubed convo that was too spicy for TV LOL

Yippy ... BB8!

That's kinda cool ... You know two celebreality stars before they became celebreality stars LOL ...

I know Marcellas ... and it wasn't any difference seeing him on BB ... I was just yelling at the screen like I would to any of the others ... when he made some dumb moves LOL

Oooh I know I am soo superexcited.

I remember when I first got into the show as a 15 year old, I loved it the hot guys oooh yeah baby I was in heaven. If only it was a gay reality show. A house of gay guys making out, passionate sex, the whole condom. HEHEHE that woulda been fab darlings. Also I remember I joined the big brother official group thing and made a few naughty posts about fantasies etc. HEHE I got deep-fried soo bad by the other members. But I have matured somewhat since than not much.

Good grief sorry for getting so off topic dahlings, back to the main subject. Yes very excited hopefully they have some hot hunks this season. Of course I would prefer it if the intimate acts were all gay but you know dahling it is still a hot show.

HUNKS RULE THE WORLD YA'LL!!!

Er, um...

I know I'm not a moderator, but since I started this thread, I'm just going to take it upon myself and ask that we keep the discussion clean. Um, yeah...

Thanks.

 Don't worry Prince Ali, I'm just as scared. This year I'm hoping to not have to yell at the people as much, it makes the neighbors think I'm crazy since my bedroom is right beside their living room wall

Pshaw! Everyone on Big Brother is an enemy! Plus, technically, we could say they did that in Season Four with the X-Factor.

I remember watching the first season of Big Brother, and it was boring as hell. The second season was slightly better, but not something I particularly cared for. I really really loved the third season though. Almost enough to buy it on DVD (it's the only US Big Brother season that's completely on DVD). I watched the fourth season only out of habit, and never bothered with the later seasons.

I'm going to have to agree with Escapay about that. I'm hoping for another twist further down to compensate somewhat or at least make things more crazy. The more twists the better :D

I agree with you about the first season; it was awful! You should have watched the seasons six and seven! Those two were the best seasons ever and I don't think they can be beat.
