Looking good!
I'm looking forward to that one.
Lilo and Stitch has to be one of my favourite Disney films of recent years.
I usually dislike the sequels, but dagnabbit if I can't get enough of that little blue guy. :)
And let's not forget Lilo. The scene in the first film where she is explaining why she needs peanut butter is priceless ("I'd be an abomination!").

? about the Stitch movies

Hey all,

I hope you can help me out. What is the difference between Stitch! The Movie and Lilo and Stitch 2???? Is it sorta like the Lion King 1 1/2 type deal? I'm really confused.

Stitch! The Movie is the pilot episode for the Lilo and Stitch TV series. Lilo & Stitch 2 will be the official sequel to the 41st animated feature.

'Tarzan & Jane' is almost the same thing...it is just three episodes of the TV series. The official sequel to 'Tarzan' comes out next year.

The Lion King 1 1/2 is actually the second sequel to 'The Lion King'. The 1 1/2 thing is a cute way to market it. Besides, this movie stars Timon and Pumbaa so you should expect something silly like 1 1/2 in the title.

This is just an easy way to cash in on franchises, b/c people will most likely buy both once they found out the TV series dvd isn't the real sequel.

On another note, don't forget that Sparky and two others of the 626 experiments are in the game in the Lilo and Stitch dvd!!!!!

Thanks Danny,

That helped a lot. I really enjoyed the the Lilo and Stitch movie and was wondering what Stitch the Movie was all about and where if fit into the grand scheme of things. thanks for clarifying it.

As I understand it, Stitch! The Movie is the prequel to the TV series and Lilo and Stitch II is the sequel to the TV series. I mean this in that as well as being the sequel to the movie, it will also start with the status quo as left off from the end of the TV series (various of Jumba's experiments living on Earth, some good and some bad).

Nice one Disney - in the UK we have to wait months (and sometimes years) for the animated series to being it's run. Lilo and Stitch 2 will mean nothing to me :(

The most important thing to remember is Stitch! The Movie is not being created by the movies creators - it's a total Disney Television production. Lilo and Stitch 2 is being written and created by Chris Sanders.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Ah, so Lilo & Stitch 2 will prob be the better of the two titles, as the guy who created the story is working on it. I still would give Stitch the movie a chance, casue he is a really funny lil character.

Stitch! The Movie is the pilot of the tv show. Lilo and Stitch 2 is the actual sequel to Lilo and Stitch. I guess Stitch! Was Disney's way of introducing the t.v. show to people. Stitch! The Movie is the only Disney sequel that I was actually willing to buy.
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.
