Thanks guys! I've been working on that one for some time now and since its finally finished, I thought that I would share it with all of you.

Huskies for a project, eh? Maybe at some point. My girlfriend said something about wanting a wind chime for Valentine's Day so I am trying to make one of those now.

You ARE into tikis, aren't you? It goes far beyond the avatars, I see.

Hehe... just kiddin'! That's some nice work though, Ter - for acrylics!! The damn stuff dries so fast, it's hard to blend - in my experience, at least. :brick:

So did you do that freehand, or did ya take it from a picture? It's quite good, either way. ^_^ And where did your interest in tikis come from? Do you have a collection hangin' around the house? O_O

Ack!! Sorry about the 10,000 questions - I just find your interest... uh... interesting! O_o

D'oh! Perspicacity... decreasing... >_< *piff*

I researched Tikis online, then did some thumbnail sketches based off of that. Then I did a rough sketch and painted it.

The tiki obsession is something recent and I really am not sure where it came from. Sometimes I just get something in my mind and I usually tend to try to pursue whatever that is. Maybe it has something to do with the Tiki Room at Disney World?

Another thing was that I saw a restaurant on Food TV called Trader Vic's, which is a Polynesian themed restaurant and I finally got to eat there back in September. I loved it!

So, my conclusion to all of this is pretty much that it seems fun and very exotic, and I think that is what is attracting me to the whole Polynesian thing. I think that my interest in it may have been a combination of things such as Lilo & Stitch, especially the series, Trader Vic, Disney World(Tiki Room and Polynesian Resort, plus there are palm trees everywhere down there!!), and several Hawaiian/Polynesian restaurants and shows on Food TV and Travel Channel. I painted the picture because I needed some tikis to look at. I would like to get a real one at some point to display and I did a rough sketch of an indoor pool I would like to build one day with a Polynesian theme.
