So far, the summer is off to a bang!

I really enjoyed Spider-Man 3, and it is cleaning up at the Box Office.

Next up, for me, is Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. I'm still not convinced about Shrek the 3rd. I may see it, later in the summer, but, I'm not planning on seeing it until after some of the more anticipated movies on my list.

Also, as Anthony pointed out in another thread, the cast of Hairspray will be on Oprah, today (Wednesday, May 16th). This movie is really looking like a must see, for me.

I am highly excited as well. Unfortunately, I still haven't gotten around to seeing Spider-Man 3....but my boyfriend and kids went to see it. I broke my foot while I was in Disney World, so I stayed home to rest. The only ones I ~can't miss~ in theaters are POTC, Ratatouille, and Harry Potter.

I plan on seeing the following:

POTC: At World's End
Ratatouille
Transformers
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
The Simpsons Movie

Everything else looks or seems like something I won't miss if I don't see it in the theatre.

Well I've been to two of the movies I was looking forward to this summer.

Spider-Man 3 - Huge disappointment, although not completely horrible.
Shrek the Third - Great film, and a pleasant surprise.

Next up... At World's End

At this point, what movies have you all seen from the summer list?

I have actually only seen one, which was Spider-Man 3. I still haven't seen Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End. I will see this one before it leaves theaters. I don't know how I've managed to stay spoiler free on it.

I am going with my sister, and my nephew, this coming Friday to see Ratatouille. I've also got a free Movie Cash to see Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which I am going to see before the Movie Cash expires on July 7th.

So far I've seen:
- Spiderman 3 (not the best of the trilogy but still entertaining!)
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (really good... as always!)
- Shrek The Third (entertaining! and Shrek babies were soooo cute!!!)

I will see Ratatouille before the end of next week. It seems really good!

And I really can't wait to see Harry Potter!!! I also want to see Transformers and The Simpsons Movie.

So far I've seen (ratings out of four):

Spider-Man 3 **** (Excellent, even though valuable stuff was obviously cut in the editing room. I like this better than the first and about the same as the second. I need to see it again to decide if I think it's the best of the trilogy or not, but for now, I'll say yes. It has the most interesting storyline yet for Peter, though it certainly needs more room to breathe.)

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End **** (Excellent, and I like this better than the second, though not as much as the first. I will say, though, that the second is definitely funnier, and Jack's character just seemed off in this one. Still, this is the most emotionally satisfying of the trilogy, I think, and my favorite film of the year thus far.)

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer *** (Pretty good. Overall better than the first one, though the ending felt like a cop-out, and there's still some cheesyness throughout that I'm not sure was intentional. Great action scenes, though.)

Ocean's 13 *** (Pretty good. It's not as good as 11, but better than 12. The first 20 minutes of set-up kind of drag, after that, it takes off. I like how the film doesn't spell everything out for its audience, and Pacino rocks as usual.)

As for the rest of the summer:

Nancy Drew: I may see this just of curiosity since I'm a big fan of the original books. I'm keeping my expectations low.

Ratatouille: I plan on seeing this this weekend, though I'm not sure how since I have a lot going on then. If not, then I'll most definitely see it on Monday. This, to me, looks better than Cars and A Bug's Life (my two least favorite Pixar films, though I still think they're great).

Live Free or Die Hard: I plan on seeing this with a friend back to back with Transformers. I just hope Willis' character hasn't lost his cocky attitude in this. That's what made the others fun.

Transformers: More than likely will see it with on opening day along with the former film. It looks better to me with every new trailer, TV spot, and clip I see.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: I really really want to attend a midnight showing of this, but I don't know if that'll happen. I will see this opening day, though. I must. My mom's become such a huge Harry Potter fan because of me that she plans on taking the day off from work to attend the earliest matinee with me. I'll be probably end up seeing it twice more with two different groups of friends.

Hairspray: I'm not sure when I'll see this, but I will. I love the soundtrack, the era the film takes place in, and musicals in general. I'd like to see this the Friday night it opens and then head over to the bookstore for the midnight release of Deathly Hallows, but let's see if that plan falls though.

The Simpsons Movie: Some of my friends are massive Simpsons fans (I like the show but don't love it). If they decide to see it and invite me, then I'll go. The trailers are pretty amusing so far.

Stardust: I'm really looking forward to this. Since my mom loves fantasy (though not quite as much as me), I'll probably see this with her. If I like it enough, I'll drag my friends with me to see it again.

So far I've seen:

Spider-Man 3- One of the best sequels this summer so far. I liked it far more then the first but it's not as great as the second one.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End- Didn’t really like this sequel it was worst then the second one. Wasn't the worst sequel this summer it was okay since it ended in a nice note.

Shriek the Third- One of the worst sequels this summer. It was boring and worst then the second one. I was expecting the story to be better and have more laughs then the second one.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer- Better then the first film it really improved in the writing and the action. But Galactus as a cloud come on he was really a giant human. Hoping the third film will have The Inhumans and Frightful Four saga.

As for the rest of the summer:

Ocean's 13- First I have to see Ocean's 11 and Ocean's 12 before watching the Ocean's 13. Probably see this movie in July.

Ratatouille- Going to watch this movie this weekend along with Live Free or Die Hard. I have seen most Pixar films at the theater except Toy Story and A Bug's Life. I have heard it was a really great film.

Live Free or Die Hard- I'm going to watch this film after I see Ratatouille so I'll see it this weekend.

Transformers- Yes, I want to see this one really badly. I have a feeling it won't be that good. Yeah I know it will end in a cliffhanger.
More than meets the eye.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix- One of the best Harry Potter books in my opinion. Probably will watch it but don't know when.

The Simpsons Movie- I have been a fan of The Simpsons since season one and I have never got tired of the show after 18 seasons later. I hope the movie won't affect the viewership of the show in September.

Stardust- Looks good being a big fan of Robert De Niro probably watch it at the theater or on DVD.
