I knew that you would end up going. How do you like the DVD. I havn't watched the movie yet but I have taken a peak @ some of the special features.
Well I haven't been able to watch anything on it yet but the sneak peeks. Didn't get home last night till 11:45 and my bedtime's midnight so....

And then today the only things I've had time to do besides babysit were shower, go walking, and do the laundry. Fun fun. :P

I'm probably gonna dig into the special features tonight after church and Smallville. Then I'll probably watch the actual movie tomorrow. :)

Got Alice in Wonderland and Comic Book: The Movie on Tuesday, and The Critic: The Complete Series on Wednesday. I also just got my latest DMC pick in the mail today - Holes. In widescreen, of course. ;) For friggin' $26, but oh well. I could have gotten it for less than half that on Amazon Marketplace, but I'm trying to fulfill my membership before they jump down my throat about it (I've gotten a fair amount of "Dear Lindsay... our records show that you have only purchased 3 of your 5 required titles so far... blah blah blah..." letters in the mail lately...)

Xena Season 2 (I have the barebones UK releases for Xena, so wasn't going to bother with the US releases, until I saw Season 3 will have an audio/visual commentary on "The Bitter Suite" - which incidently is much, much better than Buffy's "Once More With Feeling" - so decided to order that... then broke down and ordered season 2, already having the 1st season on American DVD, and deciding not to buy anymore because it was barebones.... Phew!)

House of the Dead Yes, I know it's bad. Well bad. I've seen the preview on the House of the Dead III game. But there's a reason Mystery Science Theater 3000 is popular... people love bad movies!

Picked up Alice in Wonderland today for my daughter. I just don't enjoy this one much, but she seems to like it so I'm glad I got it for her.

I have picked up within the last few weeks

Once Upon A Time in Mexico-Decent action film a little over the top.

Open Range-Good movie, Kevin Costner still can make good films.

Get Shorty-A classic movie, Travolta is very cool in this movie.

G.I. Jane-Totally Underated

Varsity Blues-Again I love this movie, great characters, the right blend of comedy, drama and unintentional comedy and of course.....the whipped cream bikini

Alice in Wonderland-Maybe the most underated Disney film ever.

I can't believe I forgot about this one, probably because I haven't watched it yet. But I picked what maybe for me one the top Disney films of all time both live-action and animation wise. It's the best film to come out the studio from the 70's. It's a true underdog story. I'm of course talking about.....Gus. To paraphrase Gale Sayers' said in eulogy about Brian Piccolo, "I love Gus and I want you to love Gus too."

I picked up Ghostbusters 2 yesterday cause it was only $13. It's not as cool as the first one, but it's still pretty fun.

Who ya gonna call?

Well, I joined Columbia House last Thursday for the third time and got a lovely introductory package. I went for the 7 movies instead of five, and got them all for exactly for $29 after shipping, handling, and taxes:

The Bridge on the River Kwai (2-Disc)
It Happened One Night
Apocalypse Now (Original Theatrical Version)
Forrest Gump (2-Disc)
Modern Times (2-Disc)
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Widescreen of course)
Gosford Park

Today I went to Target and picked up the new 2-Disc of My Fair Lady. (BTW, the MAIN reason I pick up WB 2-Discs, especially if they're ones I've never seen, is because they have the most recent and best transfers. However, The 2-Disc of My Fair Lady says that it was taken from a 1994 transfer, which leads me to believe its previous single-disc release had the same transfer, although I can't be sure.)

P.S. Also, like many of you, got Masterpiece Ed. of Alice In Wonderland last Tuesday on its release date. :D
What would this wretched world be like without Disney?

Got Planet of the Apes: 35th Anniversary Edition at Costco for $16.99

Unfortunately, the spine has an ugly indentation on it, but I really don't feel like exchanging for another.
