Guess what guys. I am so excited, I can hardly put the quotes in, here they are-
The Spice Girls fuelled rumours of a reunion when their management company said overnight they will make an announcement on their future next week.
"Following weeks of speculation, the Spice Girls are set to make an official announcement to the world regarding future plans on June 28," a statement from 19 Entertainment in London said.
"No further information can be given at this time but given the band's unique history, you can be sure to expect the unexpected! Details regarding the announcement will be released in the coming days."
Formed in 1994, the five-member Spice Girls enjoyed worldwide fame on the back of catchy pop tunes like 'Wannabe' and 'Spice Up Your Life' and aggressive "girl power" marketing.
But after two chart-topping albums, a string of best-selling singles and a foray into film, they split up in 2001, three years after Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell announced she was quitting to pursue a solo career.
There has been mounting speculation in recent weeks they will reform, record a new album and go on tour.
Friggin hell, that's so exciting! I love the Spice Girls, I can't wait for the announcement! But if there isn't a DVD, I'll be really pissed off. But I can't wait, I'm sure there will be. If Take That can release one, so can the Spice. Ah, I knew this was coming, I'm so relieved! Thursday will be a great day, I'm sure! And I finish school on Friday and have holidays for the next two weeks, so it will be a fantastic end to the term.
Oh, and in more Spice news, Eddie Murphy is the father of Mel Bs baby, which I predicted. Here's the quote-
A DNA test has confirmed actor-comedian Eddie Murphy is the father of the newborn daughter of Spice Girl singer Melanie Brown, People magazine reported, citing Brown's representative.
Brown, 32, gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown in April and listed Murphy as the father on the child's birth certificate, but the star of movies like Beverly Hills Cop and Dreamgirls has never publicly acknowledged paternity.
Earlier this month, media outlets reported that Murphy, 46, had taken a DNA test and Brown's representative, Liza Anderson, told People the results, confirming Murphy's paternity, were given to Brown.
Murphy's spokesman declined to comment.
Brown, who dated Murphy last (northern) summer, was Scary Spice in the 1990s all-girl British pop group that scored hit songs such as "Wannabe".
Members of the group have scheduled a news conference for next Thursday, sparking speculation that they will reunite for a tour and album.
Oh well, I knew it. Oh and apparently Mel C will have a new album this year. It'll be good marketing to release it alongside the reunion album and then market the other spices solo stuff with them. It'd also be good for the tour to have like all the group songs and then have each perform a little solo set of 1 or two songs. I can't wait for Thursday, it'll be so bloody great. Oh and love my avatar everyone? I love it, one of my fave clips.
