I thought we established slipcovers were like condoms for DVDs?

Besides, these are Blu Slipcovers!

And these slipcovers come in full 1080p

good grief. they look better without the slip-tree-killing-waste-of-space-cover. and those things have to be thinner than our fingers. be easier to lose those  . and the point of having half the cover of Blu-ray be cover art while the rest is the blu-ray logo and stuff is?

Its the same with HD DVD. I guess its to make the format stand out.

Anyway has anyone viewed either Pirates Blu-ray yet? I don't have a Blu-ray player, but I would really like to see Dead Man's Chest after reading some reviews for it. Because it was taken from the digital master, they say that this is the best looking title on Blu-ray right now.

As much as I have backed and liked HD DVD since last year, even a HD DVD fan like me is starting to see Blu lately.

I just got my Blu-ray copies of both POTC movies, and guess what?

Inside is a picture of the Cars Blu-ray release, and it has........a slip-cover! A red one, and the big swooshy thing is red also. I'll post a picture if I find the time today.

Edited to add: Best Buy has a sale going on. If you buy both movies, you get $10 off! And right now if you enter them in Disney Movie Rewards - you get a triple bonus on each!

Went to Wal-mart last night and they also had a bug's life with slipcovers.

Of course had to buy one, didn't think I'd find one, is Disney making new slipcovers or was this dumb luck?

Can we update the list to show Bridge to Terabithia and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh have slipcovers?

Both came out this Tuesday.

Thanks!

This should work on Miramax titles, too? I'm interested in calling because my "Chicago" DVD didn't come with a slipcover and I just got TLK 1 1/2 and it didn't come with one either (I know it's not Miramax, but still...). Thanks.

Nope, it's just Disney DVDs in this list. Touchstone, Hollywood Pictures, and Dimension aren't covered either.

Hi!

Can we please update the list to include High School Musical: The Concert-Extreme Access Pass?

It has a slip.

Thanks!

I couldn't find Halloweentown at Wal-Mart so I had to order it. It didn't come with a slipcover but I had been expecting it to come with one since DCOMs seem to be getting slipcovers these days. Could anybody clear me up on that? Thanks!

The only DCOMs to have gotten a slipcover were "High School Musical": Remix and "Jump In!". The UD review makes no mention of a slipcover for "Return to Halloweentown" and AFAIK, there have been no slipcovers on any copies I saw in stores.

how to get slipcovers from disney?

Post by egyptnation »

so i called disney to get some slipcovers i was missing and the lady, which was super apologetic, told me that they only issue slipcovers if yours is damaged.

has anyone been able to get free slipcovers recently? did you just like and say your cover was damaged? if so, do you have to send them in? how do you do it?

thanks.

p.s. i live in canada, but i'm sure it's the same thing in the states. when you post, say where you live.

and yes, i called the canadian number.
