Disney Channel Movie from about 5 Yrs Ago?

Post by maxryan »

I'm trying to discover the name and availability of a movie I saw in bits and pieces several times on the Disney Channel about five years ago. I didn't see the beginning or end, so I never got the title. It featured a group of youth attempting to cross a mountain range (looked like the Alps maybe). The oldest male resembled Emilio Estevez but I don't think it was him. The film may have been even older - possibly mid-90s or earlier. I do remember that they seemed to show it an awful lot for one month (and that's why I caught bits and pieces of it). What I saw of the movie I enjoyed, but I have yet to discover the title of the film or find out any more about it. Does anyone have ideas as to what it might be? Sorry I'm so sketchy on the details.

You know, I think I know what movie you're talking about but I can't remember the name. When I remember it, I'll let you know.
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

Stitch: TOUCHING ME!

Was it a school group of teenagers who were lost in the mountains? If so, I think it's called "Kids in the Wood".

Check out the imdb site and see if any of it looks familiar: http://imdb.com/title/tt0110257/

We'll have to keep brainstorming. "Kidz in the Wood" isn't it (good try, though). I would have definitely remembered Julia Duffy, Candace Cameron and Tatyana Ali! I mentioned it again to some friends who saw it and I have these further clues - the cast was not known very well at the time and I doubt any of them have gone on to further stardom. It was set in a foreign country - France/Germany maybe? Everyone seemed to agree that they thought the group was trying to get from one side of the mountains to the other. One of us thought it might have involved kids searching for relatives but I don't remember that. Everyone agreed that the oldest male resembled Emilio Estevez but we are pretty sure it wasn't him. We couldn't remember if any of them had accents, either. We also remember a scene in a mountain storm where they stayed in a cave for a while. They were desperately trying to stay warm.

Okay - that's what we've remembered so far!

In that case it was Emilio Estevez´s brother Charlie Sheen, you saw

That's it! The description brought the details together that I couldn't remember. Thank you so much for all of your help. I really do appreciate it. Now I can sleep peacefully again. Okay, that's taking it a little too far - but you know what I mean!
